The Rangers have virtually no chance to win the west this year. The biggest reason is their competition, the Angels are going to win the east behind John Lackey and Ervin Santana and its hard not to like K-Rod closing out the games. Not to mention the offence in LA especially GuerreroDoes Derek Jeter deserve to win MVP? (LAST YEAR) Explain?

winning the west may be a stretch, BUT, they may be competetive. washington is a bit unorthodox in his style and so far at least, i like it! leaves lefty's in to face righty's etc and i like that stuff. tejada got blown up last night by the rays and in all honesty the red sox looked like they had something else to do in his first start and were hacking at any and everything he threw.on the other hand mccarthy was just unhittable last time out! very encouraging! threw benders for K's and his heat was located well and sorta unhittable...My biggest concern is still someone to hit behind tex...i am less than all in on sosa. just my op though.rangers have a good offense but their pitching is suspect
If McCarthy, Tejeda and Millwood could all post 15 wins a piece, they'd probably have a shot but thats not going to happen. I just don't see McCarthy breaking out and having that good of a season. There's a reason the Sox traded him away for Danks. Both Oakland and the Angels have better starting pitching, so I think it's a real long shot for the Rangers to win the west and I don't see it happening anytime soon .

That is the Rangers weakness always. Pitching. Their front office should be improved. They have always had the hitting for the past 15 years. Yes if they get the pitching they will be a great team.More Questions & Answers...
