How many acres of land would I need to purchase to make a regulation softball field.?

Question:I have an option to purchase additional land to my bar, and I was thinking of making a softball field on it, how many acres should I purchase?

Answers:

I just had a baseball game and listen to how it went?

A field with the outfield walls at 200 ft is approx 1.5 acres give or take depending on the shape of the lot.

2 acres are more than enough.

A local school district here requires 2.25 acres to house a softball field, a basketball court, and a football/soccer field.

But you'll have to check with the local zoning board because they may have certain requirements for amount of land needed to build a softball/baseball field.

Little league baseball, advancing runners?

You probably would be ok with just 1 acre.
