I don't know what the Red Sox bat boy recruitment process is, but I had a classmate from high school who was a bat boy for the Seattle Mariners. As far as I know, he didn't have a contact from the organization who got him in. I think it helps if you play on a high school or league baseball team. Probably the best time to apply is before the season starts. I would suggest looking into it around the first of the year.
