With patience and with patience only.top of with encouragementAre you in favor of having the World Series home field advantage determined by the All-Star Game?
I was never a pitcher, but to better help my aim when I threw a softball, my dad started me out by marking a huge bullseye on the back on our garage. He used spray paint, but if you dont want it permanent, try some washable paint or something. Get him to aim for the target and practice like that. I really learned how to throw better because of it. You could also motivate him by offering $5 for a strikeout or something. It worked for me, and I became quite good when I was that age!! Good luck! You can also watch others playing baseball and pay attention to how the pitcher stands, throws, etc.
Who all out there likes to play sports?
There are tons of instructional videos for young pitchers like your son. There are also places with baseball instructors and pitching experts. If you want to do it on your own, then remember to teach him these three things:1) Gain power by pushing off with your leg
2) Reach back with the ball and follow through
3) Lift up front leg high, about level with waist
hate to say this, but it's best if the kids sees a professional instructor. make sure that the instructor can answer why the mechanics he teaches helps them. if he can't answer why... he's just some person who prolly just got by on his size and no skills at all. (a fake)
