Why is the press trying to drive a wedge between whites and blacks with respect to Barry Bonds homerun chase?
As a white person why am I a racist if I don't root for a black man who I believe used steroids during his career? The man who owns the record is also a black man and I rooted for him when he broke Babe Ruth's( a white man) record.
Answers:
I don't care for Bonds no matter what he does. He's egotistical and really not a nice guy. He became jealous of McGwire and Sosa in 1998 and decided it wasn't about them, it should be about him. Hank Aaron never made a spectacle of himself. He broke Ruth's record and that was that.
What's really sad about Bonds is that he was a great ballplayer to begin with. He didn't have to juice up.
Do you believe... in the Brewers?
Well they didnt ask every person in the U.s, but its somewhat true. I asked alot of my white friends if they tought that Bonds used steroids, and alot of them said yes. When i asked my black friends, they said he didnt. The press is always out to begin a contraverse and it has certaintly worked. But it could that are society is still like that. Its sad reallyBases loaded, 2 outs, bottom of the ninth?
Whatever. It will never get to that and it's really not that big of a deal. All races that don't like this man should get over it and leave him the hell alone. There's nothing worse than having a record that fans won't cherish and Bonds knows that.
Who finds it annoying that most teams get a day off after the 1st game like me?
Because that, unfortunately, is the sad state this country is in. If the media can't put some kind of controversial spin on something (usually racial), they're not happy.Take the O.J. Simpson mess for instance. It couldn't just be about one person killing two other people; the media had to make it about a black person killing two white people.
Will Tampa Bay ever be able to win the Al East with New York and Boston in it?
The job of the media (written or oral) is not to provide news, but rather to make money for the companies they work for. That means selling newspapers (increasing advertising revenue) or higher TV ratings (increasing the price for commercial space). They have done a very good job in spinning a homerun record into a racial wedge issue. I don't see how the public buys it, with both Aaron and Bonds being black. The homerun record will someday belong to Bonds, but racial overtones will profit the media companies for a long long long long time.are you? or are you just not a Bonds fan. I think it must be difficult for players like Willie Mays and Hank Aaron to deal with how much money and press is thrown at modern ballplayers. They had a lot more adversity for very little money in their careers and to have the question of cheating thrown into it must be a little strange. At the same time I am sure they are happy that most players will never have to face the hardships they were put through to play the game
Why is roger clemens such a god?
Because the media in general tries to create racism out of every story, any chance they get. Divide and Conquer is their motto. Racism would be a dead issue in America if it wasnt for the media.I think it's just what you said, and it's the media's fault for making Barry Bonds look bad. It was never a matter of race. You believe wrong about his use of steroids because there has never been a positive MLB or independent lab test result showing he used them. If there's been a positive test result, then maybe the people who claim he used steroids can show that proof, then everyone that can read will finally believe it.
I don't care who hates him. I think it's just jealousy and nothing about race.
What will the final standings in the NL Central look like?
Gee, thought Bonds was doing a good enough job of that on his own.Besides, this isn't a race issue. It's about gullibility, but not about race.
