Question:Where do you think they will end up this year in the Central, and if they are in the playoffs, how far?

I think right now they are falling behind, because of lack of offence and the bullpen has been letting them down. If they can make a move in that bullpen, maybe a Brad Lidge deal before the allstar break they can make a run for it. The Houston Astros lead all teams in the National League in quality starts, but are bullpen's ERA is in the 5's so they need to get that down. But the offence will be there, young hitters like Luke Scott, and the new call- up Hunter Pence can make some noice as long as Berkman and Carlos Lee giving run support so I say, no postseason run, but 3rd or 2nd in the divison, but the Cubs are going to be eyeing them the whole way.

only one team in the central will make the post season this year and unless the Brewer's find a way to fold, I can't see another team taking it.

This division is so even (mediocre), the 'stros could finsh anywhere between 2nd and 5th. My guess would be third.

The Astros (and the Cardinals) are two severely overrated teams. The person who said the Cardinals will win the Central could not be more wrong - they are last in the MAJORS in runs scored and they won't be getting their ace back until at least July.

As for Houston, they needed to get more pitching this past off-season and then they lost 2 of their top three starting pitchers (Pettite and Clemens). It will be a looong season for this team. I feel sorry for Berkman and Carlos Lee - good players on a bad team.
