EVERYONE Stop talking about steroids!!!!!!?

Question:Steroids aren't that big of a deal. If Barry Bonds didn't exist, we really wouldn't be talking about them that much because they really don't matter. How did Hank Aaron and the Babe hit so many home runs if they weren't on roids? Probably because they were that good. Is it impossible for the public to even consider the fact that bonds is just that good as well. Long before he "allegedly" took steroids, he was considered the best player in baseball. Now he's for sure been off the roids for several years yet, hes still doing it, he still the best hitter in baseball -hmmmmmm, maybe he's just that good? Don't be so ignorant people - open up your minds to another viewpoint. The guy has THE PERFECT SWING - its the greatest swing in baseball. he also has the best eye in baseball. Best swing + best eye = best hitter. Whether he took roids or not doesn't make that much of a difference - the reason the HR #'s are now going up is b/c the parks are smaller and the baseballs are harder.

What is the record most strikeouts in a game?

I'm in total agreement with you! I'm constantly answering the people here and challenging them to provide us with solid proof that Barry took steroids (no proof yet), how he has "disgraced" baseball (how can anyone disgrace baseball unless you stab an umpire on the field), how come Hank is not attending any HR record game (Hank has no business there because it will not be his record anymore, and would not get paid to show up anyways), and why his trainer is in jail (Barry is not twisting his arm to stay silent).

He does have a quicker than average bat speed, experience to follow various pitches in and power to hit them far. Steroids will not enhance anyone's performance to enable them to hit as many HR's as Barry or Sammy has.

Right and left handed pitchers, what's the difference?

AMEN

Who was the greatest leadoff man in the major leagues from the year 1993 to 2007?

Obviously you weren't alive in the 80's. Bonds was second string to a guy named Bobby Bonilla when they played on the Pirates. A no-name rookie who didn't set any records or catch any press until the 90's.

Same with Mark McGwire. Both were 'good' hitters in the 80s and early 90's , but nobody would have called them the best hitters in baseball until they started the juice. And Bonds did fail a steroids test, hence all the negative press.

Read the book "Game of Shadows". And listen to the comments Jose Canseco made about steroid use in baseball. Canseco admitted to taking steroids, and says it is everywhere.

Do you think that the Boston Red Sox can Get to the ALCS this year?

yes Bonds does have an awesome swing and great batting eye and before the steroid stuff came out he was a great player, he won some gold gloves, and was a blazing fast runner, but he was not a home run producer of Babe Ruth's ability. he hit home runs as good as anyone but it was the jump in home run totals in the early 2000s that started to get people to wonder as well as his obvious change in body type and size. It is a fact that after 30 most athletes start a phase of decline and that the best chance for an athlete to have a career year is when they are 26-28 years old, so it just started people wondering how this 38+ year old was putting up career numbers year after year. Babe Ruth was not skinny at any time but early films of him show him being in decent shape and he started to get fat not turn into a muscle man. As for Aaron he was a beanpole but in his later years although not fat he had filled out but again he did not turn into a caricature of himself which is what Bonds has turned into, and look at Aaron's record year after year of 35-47 home runs and one of his best years came when he was 25-26 years old in 1959 (he was born Feb 5 1934) Whatever he does or whatever Selig or the Baseball gods decide for him is not up to me or you, but what he was and what he has become gives people a legitimate reason to wonder. Good Luck
As for steroids not changing your ability to hit balls harder how come football players take them so they can hit oppossing players harder, and steroids have an added benefit they reduce your recovery time from workouts, although baseball is not a workout it would help you get energy for that day game after a night game or even after a extra inning game or a game when you had to make a lot plays etc.

Who are the players throughout Stl Cardinals history which have worn number 30?

NO. Steroids IS a Major Problem in Pro Sports especially Baseball. Why do you defeat cheaters ? You must cheat an lie yourself.
