Question:I hate the Yanks. I dont know y, it could be because they win all the time, and then freak out when they dont win the championship. "* its been 2 years since we won we better start firing somepeople". it could be because there rich crybabies, or it could just be because im human? i dont know. but everyone likes the yankees i kno this, but i think alot of people hate them too? Every baseball game i go to when they come to town theres always like a group of yankee fans that sit together. and they usually get really drunk and try to fight everyone else in the stadium its hilarious.

Out of those 2 options I have to lean more towards best team money can buy. And there is only 1 reason, they are NOT doing anything against the rules in MLB.Having said that, what George IS doing is killing the sport in so many ways. Look at that roster. You could put it up against an allstar team and still have more big names, and that is not because they have a great organization. There is something wrong when a team can go out mid season and buy Abreau to replace Sheffield. Or throw 28 million at Clemens. Not that they are the only on, Boston spending 100+ million on Dice K is pretty crazy as well. But this hordeing of all stars in NY is ridiculous. It is all because George is trying to save face and stroke his own ego. He thinks winning it all makes you the best, but that is only true on a technical level. Spending almost two+ times the amount almost anyone else in the sport does to field a great team is not talent.
Personally I think the Indians are impressive as all hell. Low team payroll, and in first with a damn good record. Same goes for the Brewers, for that matter, at 13th lowest team salary. Putting together a solid team on a not-breaking-the-bank payroll, THAT is talent.

As with all ball teams, they have their talent. But there are other teams out there. I think the Yankees are the most talked about because of their larger than life owner.Being from Detroit, my husband and I are Tiger fans and also BIG Red Wing fans (GO WINGS!) and people have to admit that the Tigers were very much of a surprise in the World Series last year. Even the manager was surprised of the Tigers great playing last year. But when you listen to all the analysts, the Tigers are just briefly mentioned. Oh well.
The Yankees are overrated. Everything they won was bought.They just open up the checkbook and buy everyone elses talent. They also have there local sports station ESPN recruiting for them. Someday baseball will catch on and force the Yankees to compete on a level playing field.
