Wright or Teixeira?

If I were smarmy, I would say that the Twins keep winning by outscoring the other teams. But I digress.

I think that the key lies in the fact that they haven't exactly run the gauntlet of the best baseball teams in the AL so far. They've played against 5 teams so far. 3 of them are Kansas City, Baltimore, and Seattle, each the last place team in their division (and teams that have combined for a staggering .360 winning percentage thus far). Additionally, they have faced off against the White Sox (who, outside of Buerhle's no-no, have largely forgotten how to pitch) and the Yankees (whose questionable rotation has been setback even further by injuries).

And really, they aren't bad on either side of the ball. They have a great pitcher in Santana, some legitimate hitters in Morneau, Mauer, Cuddyer, and Hunter, and they have a terrific bullpen. More than this, though, they play to their strengths-they manufacture runs and play solid defensively. This is what has served them for years and what will probably deliver them a respectable record at the end of this season, even when they start playing against teams that aren't cellar-dwellers.

Why does Yahoo continually screw up the baseball score and schedule postin??
