What is the rules on player ejection in little league?
Question:My son was playing against a team tonight, a player from the other team was called out at home trying to score on a pass ball, he slammed his helmet on home plate 2 times. The next inning the catcher was tossed out of the game after a play at the plate for throwing the ball in the dirt, but yet the first player was seen by the base umpire throwing his hat and glove after the call went against his team. I asked the umpire why he was not tossed and he said because the other team only had 10 players, and they would have to forfeit.. I think that the player should have been tossed as well.

As a Little League ump I can tell you pretty much everything that goes for the bigs goes for the Little Leagues, too, and then some. Personally, there were a few things that were instant ejections for me -- profanity, violence, etc. -- but I told both coaches about these things in my pre-game instructions. It's possible that the first offense had the ump issue warnings to both benches. The following instance then saw him go ahead and toss the offending player. The condition of the team (I.E. number of players) should never enter into the decision of whether or not to eject a player/coach/spectator.
For the record, in 9 years of umpiring, I've only tossed 2 people -- both coaches. One for profanity on the field in a 6-8 year old group and the second for throwing a player against the fence when he missed a sign. The second ejection also elicited the attention of the local County Sheriff.
Is it the Cubs year? and if so give reasons.?
He railroaded you guys, totally unfair. I got ejected when i was 9 for plowing over a player in my base path. They should be able to throw their helmet or ball as long as it wasnt at anybody.Who'll win the American Leage Central?
Umps aren't perfect, they just call it how they see it, in a sense they just do what they feel they need to and it's not always fair. Unless you're son's league has rules that give specific penalties for certain actions, the ump just has to use his own judgement. and in little league, no one wants to have to forfiet, just to have fun.Has there ever been 4 back to back homers in mlb history?
You have to remember that Little League is an organization as a whole but is separate in how each local league is run. It is impossible for Little League to police its branches in each small town around the world. In affect, the rules are basically made by whoever is in charge of the league so there's no real cut and dry answer. He could have ejected one player over the other on bias alone. Little League teaches sportsmanship and shouldn't tolerate temper tantrums. If kids can't play in a proper manner, they shouldn't be able to play at all, even if there will only be 9 players. Last I checked, thats all you need for a team.I think it's up to the umpires. I think any kind of throw or banging anything out of frustration fits in the criteria of being ejected. I once got ejected for a Little league came after I threw my bat (not near anyone) in frustration after striking out. The umpires need to keep the game under control and if they have to eject players to do it, they will. Usually, they issue warning first.

The umpire is empowered with discretion. Being fair and impartial is the key to success at umpiring. But in the end in most cases its a judgment call and for better or worse the umpire makes the decision. The bigger problem is the behavior of the children. As a little league manager I wouldn't tolerate the kids behaving in that manner. I wouldn't worry about what the umpire did I would punish the offender myself. Good sportsmanship and learning how to win and lose with class are more important than the result of any game and kids need to be taught that.
Baseball picture question?????
its totally the umpires choice, i used to umpire for little league and in training they taught us about calls like that, and they said that they are kids that just wanna play and if tossing a player is gonna end the game then dont do it. but then the second player should have been givin a warning not tossed on the spotWhat is the theme song to This Week in Baseball?
