Pitching question?
Question:Ok im 15 and throw a 4 seam, 2 seam, splitter and Knuckle Curve. The problem is how can i know if my knuckle curve is really breaking or if it is a fat meatball. It goes up and then drops but i just cant tell.

is it getting hit alot? If the batters are not seeing it, it is a great pitch. I throw my knuckle curve really hard just 5-8 mph off of the fastball. If it doesn't break it usually goes pretty high and in. Are you in a baseball or softball league!? The size of a baseball are the same for all. A bigger meatball would be considered a Softball.Can The Heat make it atleast a 6 or 7 game series??
as an athletic director and coach i advise you to stick with your fastballs, if those pitches have movement they are hard enough to hit at your level of play and your elbow will last longer. just like your splitter the knuckle-curve is a feel pitch. If you still insist on throwing this type of pitch use a camera to film your release point and the trajectory of the pitch. Watch mike mussina since he throws that pitch more than anyone.You can throw a splitter at 15 and you can't tell if your nuckle curve is dropping properly, maybe you need to try and just stick with a splitter.
