MLB Playoff format? Yes ot No.?
Question:The current format has 1 vs. 4(wild card) and 2 vs. 3. But if 4 is in the same division as 1 then 1 plays 3 which is usually a divsion winner.
I know they want to avoid divisional confrontations but is it fair to the #1 seed to have to play a much better team?

How do you think Ryan Howard will do this year since he hasn't hit 5 homeruns yet?
no, it's stupid. if one team finishes with 100 wins, two other teams finish with 98, and the "wild card" finishes with 82 wins, it's stupid for the 100 win team not to get to play the 82 win teamWould Ken Griffey Jr. in his prime be considered one of the top 10 players of all time?
Yes it is. There is no real advantage like what your trying to express in baseball. Several of the last world champs were wild cards. It's a nice format and the players don't seem to mind.
Who do you think is going to win the world series...METS or Yankees?
the format works just fine. I dont see a reason to change it.How mutch is barry bonds 94 fleer ultra card worth?
The divisional winner isn't necessarily the better team. In 2001 When Seattle won 116 games, Oakland was the wild card with 103 wins, more than the other 2 divisional winners.I think it's fine. The 1st seed still plays a team not quite as good as them.I think the format is much better than hockey or basketball where they let more than half of the teams in the league in.
Help i need help with some softball cheers its due tommorow for literature?
The format is fine. The only problem are:
-that if the 3 best teams are in the same division, one team will miss the playoffs.
-if a team is in a weak division and won the division, the team might not be in the top 4. A team from a strong division might finish in the top 4 but miss the postseason.
