What is the rarest occurance in baseball?
Times change. When the new parks scheduled for 2009-10 open (Yankees, Mets, Athletics, Nationals, and Twins), the only parks still in use predating 1989 (when SkyDome began the recent wave of new parks) will be
Kauffman (Royals) - 1973
Angels/Anaheim - 1965 (but substantially reworked under Disney ownership)
Dodger - 1962
Wrigley (Cubs) - 1914
Fenway (Red Sox) - 1912
What is the more perfect game??
seriously, I didn't know the time was this soon. I think it sucks to think that all that history will transfer over to a new place.thanks for the heads up
Who is has the strongest arm for a shortsop?
I think it will be great! Sure, it will be sad to leave the current Yankee Stadium, but nothing lasts forever. Yankee Stadium was remodeled in the mid 70s, but it's still and 84-year old stadium, and it doesn't have the same perks as the stadiums that have been built since the early 90s. Eighteen teams have had new stadiums built since 1989, so why can't the Yankees? Visiting teams complain about the lack of space in the dugouts and clubhouses, fans can't see the game from some angles, so it's time.BTW, the new stadium will have the same measurements as the current one, and some parts of the old will be included in the new one.
How can the Yankees leave the house that Ruth built? Stupid decision and they may become the newest team to get a curse.
MLB Playoff format? Yes ot No.?
Not as bad as you might think. The House that Ruth Built was extensively renovated in 1974-75 . The new ballpark that emerged was noticeably different . The columns were gone and the outfield dimensions were a lot smaller. So in a way the historical Yankee Stadium has already been demolishedWill the braves rebound and win the divison this year?
When the Yankees redid Yankee stadium in the 70's, the magic of the old funky stadium with the monuments in the outfield, the short right field fence where the fans could sit right looking at the right fielder's back, was lost. I've never really liked the new stadium so much. A new stadium will be fine. Its great because the new stadium is designed after how the stadium looked in its prime, the 1960's, and it has all the modern amenities.
Just check out some of these photos.

Who is the worse MLB Commisioner of all time ? and why ?
They played baseball there over 80 years. I think they should have kept playing there. They are turning their backs on all that history of the winningest baseball team ever.Ever heard of Michael thompson he was a first round pick for the portland trailblazers?
I'm sad because I'm a big Yankee fan and I would hate to see the house that Ruth built gone. I know it's old and it doesn't have the most comfortable seating but it's the cathedral of baseball. On the other hand I think It's important to modernize and give your players and fans the best experience possible. I will miss the stadium so much, but at least the new one will be a replica so most fans won't feel as bad and will probably forget and still think it's the old stadium.Who thinks David Ortiz took steriods?
How dare the Yankees tempt the wrath of The Baseball Gods by planning on leaving Yankee Stadium! You just don't leave Yankee Stadium...not with all of the talk of ghosts and ghouls haunting the stadium.
