I heared their are going to get rid of the aluminun bats in college baseball?

Question:

Answers:

Who is the best...?

Yes, the balls seem to bounce off the metal bats much faster than the wood bats which makes it difficult for players in the field to react to and avoid balls hit toward them. This has been shown to cause more injuries especially in little league.
Besides, the majors just use the wood bats anyway so players moving on should probably get used to the wooden bats.
I know that in NCAA softball there are already a number of models of metal bats that are outlawed due to the bounces the ball takes off of them.

Who are the pitching aces for every team in MLB?

I've always hoped they would switch to wood bats. I know it's always been aluminum so the schools didn't have to fork out the cash to constantly replace broken bats, but it's not little league here. Wooden bats are the backbone of baseball if you ask me.

Pick from all active players, Name your fantasy 2007 MLB team?

yeah me too. I think they are working there way to eliminate aluminum bats once and for all.

What is better? Yankees doing bad or Brewers doing very well?

good idea but would be to much money for colleges to pay all those wood bats so much cheaper to go with aluminun

Did Alex Rodriguez make a deal with the devil? If not, what do you think is responsible for his turnaround?

I love hearing the crack of the bat more than the ping of one. However, banning metal bats is ridiculous. NYC just passed a law banning metal bats in all HS games played within the City. Arent there better ways to spend your time than deciding HS sports equipment?

Besides, metal bats that are used in college and HS have to be tested to provide the same or worse ball-bat reaction as wood bats. Fielders and runners are far enough away from the hitter that if they get hit by a ball, they should quit playing baseball because they have horrible reaction time.

Now, as for pitchers, this is not the case. Its a freak thing that rarely occurs (talking headshots). And wood bats are just as likey of doing the same thing to them as metal bats. Bryce Florie and Mike Mussina are two examples that come to mind off the top of my head.

Whats going on with Soriono and Lee of the cubs, why dont either of them have a HR yet?

It's about time. Those things are dangerous, with a capital D. That's aside from the fact that they promote lousy hitting habits.

It would help greatly, though if MLB offered to sibsidize the cost of the wood bats, in some way. After all, and in so very many ways, they will be the ultimate recipients of this positive change.

How many losses in a row will it take steinbrenner to blow his top?

Actually, the bats were revised/redesigned several years ago to limit the initial ball speed. Since that change, run production has been significantly reduced. In fact, so-called small-ball, bunting, hit-and-run, etc. have increased dramatically. Most attribute these strategic changes to the bat changes.
