Is anyone here tired of how ESPN kisses the red sox and yankees asses?
Question:seems like they always show either the sox or yanks on ESPN baseball games. last night they showed yanks v mets, today it's sox v yanks, they showed a sox/yanks game on espn sunday night, sox v rangers. seems like every episode of sportscenter has an hour dedicated to yanks/sox. it's tired out.

i completely agree with you. espn thinks as if there are only 2 teams worth mentioning in the whole league and that is the red sox and yankees. my favorite team is the indians and they rarely have them on and the indians are very good. i do follow every team though so i am not happy about how they dont give other teams some publicity. also i hate how on sports center and its like the royals vs. the mariners and they will show one play and give the score and thats it. that makes me real mad. then they will go to the yankees or red sox and show a good amount of those games. i understand that they have a big fan base but they should make it more equal for all teams and their fans regarless of how bad some teams are doing.If African American accounted for 12.3 Percent of the Population?
Yes i am. The Yankees are a losing team and still gets 3 times as much air time as any of the first place team besides Boston. I have been referring to them as the Yankees national network. I guess George bought them to.Is it harder to be a Yankees fan in New England or a Red Sox fan in New York?

Wake up and smell the roses, THOSE teams get the big ratings like it or not. ESPN has been doing this for years and will continue to do so unless one of those franchises collapses from perpetual playoff contention.You can complain about it, but you too are also choosing to watch it.
LA is the second biggest market in the US, guess what, NY is bigger, now combine that with New England and YOU do the math. You may not like it, but it is what it is. ESPN isn't stupid, otherwise they wouldn't change the way they do things if they didn't intend to get ratings.
I'm an Orioles fan, and I know better than to rely on ESPN for up-to-date news on my team because I realize who's going to get the bulk of the attention. Yankees, Red Sox, Pujols and Cardinals, Bonds and the Giants, and if they happen to be playing LA. Yes. ESPN does talk about the Dodgers.
It is what it is, your complaining isn't going to change the programming on ESPN.

BUT remember THIS very important point...National media coverage and respect isn't going to matter. At all.
(Witness my favorite team the White Sox. They destroyed the league all summer in 05. Were always the 4th or 5th game on Sportscenter. In october, none of that mattered.)
So keep up with your team, go out and support them at the ball park, and don't worry about the ESPN east coast bias. It won't matter if your team is good enough.

yes i am really tired of the ***-kissing. I mean, it is an intense rivalry, but there are plenty of other teams, i mean there are probably two or three other divisions that dont get as much coverage as the yanks and sox combined. My favorite team, the cubs, has the third highest attendance every single year behind boston and new york, and yes i know they sucked last year, but i dont recall them virtually ever being analyzed or talked about on ESPN for virtually the whole season. This year, they have a fantastic team, but the bullpen has been screwy. I mean how many times have we heard how bad the new york starting pitching is?Why is it that the rough New York media let Giambi off so easily?
Like the Red Sox but youre right. My favorite team is the San Diego Padres and they never get any love on tv. They play in probably one of the most competitive divisions in baseball this year but I never see them on tv.When did the MLB ny giants leave New York?

As a Royals fan, I couldn't agree more. I feel like ESPN is the TBS for the Yankees. I already have it off tonight, as I'll only watch the Yankee's if they are getting beat.As a baseball fan I'll never get tired of watching the Yanks/Sox. Its the best rivalry in sports and I think in the last 50 games the Sox have a 46-44 edge so its an actual competitive rivalry. If thats not it then its really close to it. The series will also draw ratings from the casual baseball fan moreso than a game between any other two teams, even Cubs/Cards. I think if baseball had the Yanks/Sox play for 162 games ESPN would air all 162 and hope for a playoff series between them. But one thing I can't understand is why baseball doesn't have the Yanks playing the Dodgers every year in interleague. That would seem to be another natural rivalry.
