I have baseball tryouts for my high school team coming up...?

Question:...I am a great fielder and an okay batter. Can someone give me some pointers on getting a better arm (being able to throw further) and I guess, how I can get more power into my swing. I know "practice, practice, practice" but I don't have time, it i in a few days and I have no time for practice. Thanks.

Rank these 7 teams from best to worst?

Power- Do core exercises and take a lot of swings. Do drills and develop PERFECT mechanics.

Stronger arm- Look online and get a throwing program. Yes u should throw everyday, but not as hard as u can everyday. If you take fielding practice you probably do a lot of throwing in that so u can count that. Long toss definitely does help...maybe every 2-3 days. Again, practice and develop good mechanics. A strong core will also help u here.

You probably wont have time to change anything physically b4 the tryouts. However coaches know that its early in the season and almost always tell kids "take it easy on ur arms". Coaches want a kid who will listen and not give attitude, hustle, who is enthusiastic, school spirit, FUNDAMENTALLY SOUND ( being able to lay down a good bunt, being smart and knowing what base 2 throw 2 and hitting the cutoff and BACKING UP, etc). If your a right fielder for example.back up the 1B when there is a ground ball to the shortstop and hes throwing to first. Never complain that its hot or cold out. Dont roll your eyes if they ask you 2 run 3 miles or whatever. Show up on time. Cheer on the other kids as they are taking batting practice or whatever. This is the stuff coaches want 2 see. So unless ur good in all areas do the things I just said and ull improve ur chances drastically.

What are the major rule differences between baseball and slow-pitch softball?

to get a stronger arm you just got to throw and maybe do some weight training also power is in your bat speed you will have to just practice that alot on your own

Can anyone tell me why pitchers were batting today at the chicago white sox and cubs game?

Bat power is really bat speed. Quick hips and a strong core will help. Strong wrists and strong forearms will also help. You really just need to take about 200-250 cuts a day( soft toss, short toss, tee work, live-arm) to get your muscle memory down. As for arm strength, play long toss every day.

With the MLB saying that they will televise the first round of the Draft this year, will you watch it?

you just need to get stronger and work all year on throwing every day throw farther and farther.

Wasn't it nice of Mariano Rivera?

Throw long toss to strengthen your arm.

Which two teams will be in the World Series this year?

their are many things to do. for hitting: stand near a hedge and set urself bat length away. pratice "throwing the knob toward the pitcher and then come through with the bat without hitting the fence. Also soft toss will help. get a buddy and some tennis blls. have ur friend stand 5 feet away and toss the balls to u. work on geting your hips htrough and keeping ur weight back. remember take only a small stride. the hips are the key to poweri just started really using my hips and first time up i hit a long triple. good luck. to get a better arm just work on your form. make sure your elbow is above your shoulder and follow through with your back leg. practice long tosses and to get your arm in shape. good luck at tryouts.
