Do you think they deserve what they got, why?

Answers:

What did Jackie Robinson Promise NOT to do before signing the contract with the dodgers?

The Billy Goat!
Cubs fans - look over history. The reason its been 99 years since your last WS title is not because of a goat. The fact is that since 1908 the Cubs have been the most mis-managed team in all of baseball. Don't get me wrong, I love the Cubbies: the history, the nostalgia, the players, Wrigley Field, and the undying devotion of the fans. But there is no curse of a goat. It's plain and simple: the team has been horendously managed by the front office since old-man Wrigley bought the team. The only thing that carried them as close as they've gotten in the last century is pure talent, nothing else.

Who signed 1st 100 million dollar contract?

Pete Rose, but he's a jerk.

Who is the best young pitcher in baseball right now?

Babe Ruth...but only to red socks fans...

Yankees repeat?

Don't a lot of folks think it was Pete Rose?

Who is the best bench player on your favorite team?

pete rose

With baseball starting again I want to know which team people think are gonna win it all,so who is your pick?

bartman is the biggest in the last ten years that is for sure...I feel bad for the guy though, big cubs fan and just got too excited seeing a foul ball coming his way. Had i been sitting in that seat i MAY have made the same move. Nowadays i know better.

Has the "Curse of the Bambino" been replaced by the "Curse of the A-Rod"?

Bill Buckner. His goof didn't lose the series for the BoSox, there was still another game to be played. It wasn't fair how he's been portrayed in the media since.

Is Victor Martinez on the DL?

Rose, just because todays athletics get away doing far worse even after repeat perfomances.

Most obnoxious fans in baseball?

bartman..i'm die hard for the cubs, wasn't his fault at all...not to mention the missed play at shortstop...lame...
-nny

Doesn't ROGER CLEMENS look good in a Yankee cap AGAIN?

Steve bartman doesn't deserve what he got, becuz the ball was in the stands, and everyone has a right to the ball when it is in the stands, even if it is still playable.

Any fan would of tried to catch the ball, even the dude besided him tried. So he shouldn't of got what he got.

Did Jeter get hurt?

Shoeless Joe Jackson wins this by a land slide
A long time ago in Chicago He was accused of throwing the world series and kicked out of baseball for life. (Watch movie Eight Men Out) It was BS .Jackson was reinstated after he died, (kinda late) the people running baseball are just as stupid now as they were back then.

Will jeff weaver be cut by seattle? his current record is 0-4 with era of 14.34!?

I gotta say Buckner. We even named the new bridge in Boston the "Buckner bridge", because it looks like two legs that you drive thru...

Anybody else agree with me that A-Rod is MVP this year?

Steve Bartman for sure. Cubs fans are STILL crying about "what if" and it happened FOUR years ago! All I have to say about this is - if it all comes down to ONE SINGLE PLAY to make or break the big game, your team obviously wasn't as strong or talented as you made them out to be. The Cubs should have locked up that game easily, it should not have been a "dealbreaker" just because some idiot got in the way of a play. I'm certainly not saying Steve did no wrong, however I think to lynch him over it YEARS later is flat out ridiculous. He was even threatened with his life! Please. 99 years and counting, I'm sure it will be 99 more with or without Steve Bartman at the games.

What roberto clemente´s specific position in the outfield?

Buckner would have to be up there;

or the cubs fan that blew the game several years ago

Pricing Websites?

What about Alex Rodriguez? The pressure of having the biggest contract means a lot of people (including myself) hope he never wins a world series. Nothing about Arod personally, but had he been willing to sacrifice some of the all mighty dollar, he could have stayed with Seattle and then wonder what they COULD have done in 2001.

They won 116 games without him, what could he have added.

Should Roger Clemens give Yankees a 6 inning discount?

joe jackson

Name two baseball teams that you will never cheer for?

I don't think walletclan and the others know what a scapegoat is. Pete Rose, by all accounts and admission, was not a scapegoat for anything. He is/was a cheater and a liar, but not a scapegoat.

How will you celebrate when Barry Bonds breaks Hank Aarons' home run record?

a tie:

Buckner because that was the Series.

Donnie Hill because he actually blew the game and serieis that would have put the Angels in the WS in 1986. (He later killed himself due to depression).

Tribe fans..?

Buckner is, but it was only Game 6. A great team woulda bailed him out and won Game 7.

If Joanthan Papelbon was still a starter what would you expect his stats to be?

Steve Bartman really didn't interferer. Nor was he responsible for the Cubs losing game 7 which the Cubs led
5-3 at one point.

Bill Buckner did bumble game 6 but said he should have not been in their defensively at that point of the game. Bill was not at fault when the Red Sox lost game 7 after leading 3-0 through 5 innings.

Pete Rose is as guilty as sin. I'm not sure as to how he has been labeled as a scape goat. He should be banned from baseball.

I would have to say the Billy goat issue with the Cubs is ridiculous. There never was a curse to begin with. This has to be the biggest scapegoat. No pun intended.

Which Met should be the team's captain?

JASON GIAMBI. HE SEEMS TO SET UP AS THE FALL GUY FOR THE STEROIDS ERA. TO MICHAEL L IT WAS DONNIE MOORE NOT HILL WHO BLEW THE AERIES FOR THE ANGELS IN 1986.

Is there any way to report this guy?

Mickey Owens is one, as is Bill Buckner. Don't forget Mitch Williams, although we was doing his best, and was therefore able to walk off that field with his head held high.

Bartman isn't. The ball was in the stands and as such, he was fully entitled to it. That's 3.16 and the following note, in the rulebook. The scapegoats there are the Cubs, who whined and complained instead of using the time that they had left in that game to pick themsevles up and win it.

for Michael L, who is the world is Donnie Hill?

Today is Yogi Berra's birthday (82)?

Russ Ortiz in the World Series between the Giants and Angels. Dusty Baker should have left him in. If he had, the Giants would have won the World Series in Game 5, but let the bullpen ruin what would have been a dream season.

Luckily, Russ was not vilified by the media or fans. Everybody dumped on Dusty Baker, which was very fitting!
