How fast does my fastball have to be in order to be noticed by scouts?

You can't. See a doctor, and ask to be referred to a sports medicine specialist. Unless, of course, you like the idea of having these problems and worse with your shoulder for the rest of your life.

Acute pain is your body's way of telling you to stop and get help. It's time you learned to listen to it.

I pitch a lot, and I can tell you that after a long outing my arm feels like it's going to fall off sometimes. The most key thing to become healthy again is the next few days after that. Usually the day after I pitch I shut down my arm completely except for some light stretching. The next day I'll incorporate some light throwing, and if it feels okay, some long toss. By the third day of rest I'm usually ready to throw a short bullpen session and get back in my rythym. Now you say you play third which means you're at it every day, so here's my advice. First off, stop taking pain killers. They're no good and will probably make it worse. Take Advil or IB Profin to take away from of the stiffness before and after workouts. Second, take is easy for a few days. Talk to your coach and let them know its sore. If need be, shut it down for a day or two and then start up again. While shutting down for those few days though, make sure your stretching good and even running to get all your muscles loose and in a rhythym. Bring your throwing back in slowly and don't overdue it. If it still hurts after rest, running, and stretching, then I'd recomend seeing a doctor.

What MLB player stole home plate this year?

Should see your doctor!

Javy Lopez?

I would take a rest for a few days and see how it feels. Keep on heating it and icing it. Use Motrin/Ibuprofen/Advil only when you're playing.

Make sure you stretch well before games and practices. Always ice the shoulder after a strenous practice for 15 minutes and heat it for like 10 minutes before the practice.

If it still bothers you, then I'd see the regular doctor, then if necessary you can go to an Orthopedic Surgeon who will move it around a little bit to try and figure out what is wrong with it.

He'll probably take X-Rays and a MRI to see if anything is broken.
