Get rid of 2 MLB teams and then add 2 new MLB teams?
Question:If you can choose to add 2 and get rid of 2 teams in MLB, what will be your options and where will the 2 new teams located? Why?

I would relocate the Nationals to New Orleans just because of what that city's been through, and they are receiving back their basketball & football teams, they need a little more. They would still be in the same division, but DC doesn't need a team. Their stadium for their baseball is the exact same as their soccer field. It's completely pointless.
I would move the Padres to Las Vegas, but keep the name for some reason. California needs balance. When there's 3 NL teams & 2 AL teams, one of them needs to go, so I picked the Padres. The Padres would still be in the NL West just because, OR, the Padres would be in the AL West, and the Astros would move into the NL West to even out the divisions to 5 teams a piece, with 1 interleague game every week
oakland should go, no reason for california to have 4 teams.
then probably minnesota, they're fan base is practically non-existant.
i'd put a team in vegas definately, it's only a matter of time till one sport gets a team there. second choice would probably be one of the carolina's.

Florida that're all better so their fan base is not enough. Secondly, in the NL I would do away with the Padres. California needs to drop a team because there are 4 teams, way too many for 1 state, also because the Padres are the worst CA team so they're not needed anymore.
As for replacing the Devil Rays, they should move them to North Carolina (or south) and name the team the Carolina Cobras (not that good of a name but whatever). As the NL replacement I choose somewhere in Louisana that is useable nowadays. I don't have a catchy name.

Let's be Realistic Get Rid of the Devil Rays, First then Get Rid of the Cubs those two Franchase are no good for Baseball, Two New Teams Two New Cities, Simple One Team in Orlando Florida, and another in Either Las Vegas, and Portland Oregon, I say Portland would be better with a Baseball Team then Las Vegas.
Also Point Miami is Close Orlando, and Seattle is close to Portland, so it give the Marlins and Mariners Close rivals.

Tampa and Phoenix are gone and Las Vegas and Suffolk County NY are the new franchises.Why Suffolk ?Because it has 1.3 million people living in it and it is growing. Shea Stadium is the nearest major league ballpark and the distance is between 35-100 mile away.
That 100 mile distance is about the same as it is from Shea Stadium to Citizens Bank Park [Phillie's] or from CBP to Camden Yards in Baltimore.
In addition abutting Suffolk County are the 1.3 million citizens of Nassau County NY
2.6 million people represent a huge market base and the Mets and Yankees probably wouldn't miss them-OK maybe a little

What's the point of moving a team from one small town like Tampa or Milwaukee to another small town like Portland OR or Indianapolis ? The lesson should have been learned by now ; small towns have trouble supporting a MLB team. The only answer that makes sense beside mine is
giving Brooklyn[ pop 2,465 , 326 ] a team again. The only reason that Las Vegas makes sense is that it wouldn't depend on the local population to support it.

The TWO teams I would get rid of/ relocate are the Chicago Cubs, and the Florida Marlins. The Cubs, comon they even get booed at Wrigley, there are die hard Cubs fans maybe, in "Cubbie Nation" but rot really in Chicago. Florida Marlins... where to begin... Well first of all they play in a football stadium that is almost too big for baseball, their attendance rate is the lowest in the NL and the leagueand their payroll is something around 30 million for everyone lowest in NL.. and the league. They cant afford to keep pitchers for any great length of time because they couldnt even afford it, they have 20 people on the team who are getting paid the minimum of 380K! To be honest there has been much speculation of the Marlins going to San Antonio, and the Cubs relocating... virtually anywhere but Chicago!( hopefully a team comes to Madison WI). :Sget rid of
