Towel drill for baseball?
Question:I have been hearing a lot about towel drills and how they help your mechanics and improve velocity.
I also hear that it is not good for you also, that it hurts your arm. But i don't know what to do. please help.
And also if it does hurt your arm.. then would it be more beneficial to like hold a ball in your hand with a towel? please help

ok. All pitchers on my team are required to do this everyday. You must have 2 people. One Holding (NOT USING) acatchers glove. do not have them put there hand in it because it will hurt very badly. next( this is your part) have a towl wound up like you are getting ready to snap someone with it. hold both ends of the towl in your hand your are throwing with. ok this is the tricky part that takes practice. With you partner down like a catcher and holding the glove right in front of you, get a bout 5 feet away. Get in your wind up position and like you are throwing a ball, throw the towl around and when you would release the ball, release one end of the towl. With one end still in your hand,the other end should hit the catchers glove making a SNAP sounding noise. Well thats how you do it. Hope it Helps.!-Alex
