Remember, he is breaking Henry Aarons records, not anyone whites. I think the big issue is his drug cheating and his refusal to admit to it. lol...i liked the first answer, Hank Aaron already squashed those issues...dont try and start a race issue when there isnt one, if anything its a good thing with the lack of black baseball players at the moment...the only other issue, NO ONE SEEMS TO LIKE THE GUY! He also may have avoided paying taxes and cheated on his wife, neither of which, along with steroids, has he admitted to.Since there is an owner as commissioner, should the next one be a player?
The media is trying to make it out to be one, doing polls what blacks and whites think about him. The polls show that more blacks are rooting for Bonds to break the record, and more whites think he cheated, and things along those lines.there have been about 34089274 of these questions, but at least that has given me a couple chances to get what i want to say sorted out

the major issue is bonds' supposed steroid use and his attitude toward fans...the steroid thing is up for debate, but no one can argue that he has a history of acting like a jerk towards the media and fans

racist or not... jerk or not... people in the USA are forgetting that a person is innocent until proven guilty. There are allegations that Bonds may have taken HGH but not proven guilty. Even so, there are many players who have taken steroids and who cannot even come close to this record. Mark Maguire, Barry Bonds, and other players who are accused of taking steroids have brought back baseball as a popular sport and Bonds is nearing a record that hasn't been broken for decades. Let's give Bonds some credit for actually making contact on the ball with his bat.
