Would you drop Hideki Matsui for Jermaine Dye ?

Question:this is for my first fantasy ball pool.

Answers:

What is the record for most consecutive wins in major league baseball?

It's not close. Matsui is a consistent power hitter, surrounded by great hitters. Yes, he was hurt last year, but look at the number of games he played in prior years. Last year was a fluke. He'll come back now and have another great year. Dye did have a great year last year, but he hasn't been nearly as consistent as Matsui. He would have to do it again before I'm a believer. In every fantasy league I've seen, Matsui was drafted higher.

The biggest mistake you can make in a fantasy league is looking at short term numbers. I beat the guys that do that every year. If you did that this year, for example, you'd drop Pujols.

How does a Junior/Senior League withdraw from Little League and join Pony/Colt League Baseball Organization?

If he's your worst OF/bench guy, then yes I would do that. Dye will put up better power numbers than Matsui, with an average thats basically the same. Matsui might score more runs due to the superior line-up, but I like Dye better.

What are the Top Ten Baseball Towns?

No ! Matsui will have 100RBI, 100 Runs scored, 20-25HRs, and bat around .300 Dye looks better at this time but he will fade in the long run. Matsui just can of the DL list and he already is paying a profit 4RBI since monday.

How do you "roll" or "work in" a softball bat?

What is a sandwich pick in baseball?

No Matsui will come tru
that foe always does..

Michael jordan rookie whitesox baseball card?

definitely, dye was in running for AL MVP award. Matsui is coming off an injury and has been struggling since last year. Dye is hitting at the 3rd to 5th spot in the lineup at will average atleast a 290 with 40 hrs, and 100+ rbi, i dont think matsui can do that.

Alfonso soriano??

Tough call. I have them both. I really would not drop either one. Dye has better slugging stats, but Matsui has a deep lineup that will guarantee him some RBIs and runs. The Yanks are on pace to break 1000 runs.

Advice I can give you though... pick up Polanco if you need a good infielder, and Olsen, the pitcher from Florida might still be available. Look at his strikeout numbers from the previous years. He's a sleeper every year.

What is Hideo Nomo doing these days? Is he pitching in Japan?

Yes, do it now.

How 'bout them Yankees?

No. Matsui will give you more numbers across the borad.
He's on the highest scoring team in baseball.
