Today, I was playing baseball, and I hit a grand slam over the fence...?

There has been a rumor that aluminum bats are going to be banned due to safety reasons. The result would be that wooden bats would be required.

Another proposal was that the quality of aluminum bats would be limited to reduce the ball speed off the bats and thus reduce injuries to the younger players.

I have also heard that some little leagues have already ,and Little League in general is trying to ban all breaking ball pitches to reduce the ligament damage to young pitchers arms.

Hope this helps!

What is your favorite baseball team?

No, I think the move is actually heading in the other direction. There's a move towards going back to wood at all levels. New York City just banned metal bats, and the whole East Coast seems to be pushing for wood at all levels:

Same thing recently happened in North Dakota, too.

I am looking for seat X4B at Shea Stadium and I cannot find the seats.?

I would like to have aluminum bats banned for safety purposes but wooden bats are so expensive compared to aluminum. You would probably go through 20-30 bats a season if you used wood bats. Its just too expensive. I know from experience becuase in high school i would practice with a wooden bat to increase my bat speed and i cracked at least 4 bats in a two month period. I spent over 200.00 on those four bats alone.

When are they going to play field of dreams again?

wooden bats are not being banned metal bats are being banned. i know because i am on a team

no, but aluminum bats are starting to be banned in a lot of those leagues.

Alex Rodriguez now holds a Yankee first..does this surprise you??

The answer to your corrected question is yes, and for very, very good reasons. Metal bats are dangerous. Not to mention that they encourage truly awful batting habits.

Is the new Twins statium a good idea?

i think so i always hear horror stories about metal bats. the speed the ball flies off of them is usually faster than the pitcher can react to it. so if he gets a line drive hes a goner
