he's been knocked alot for being lazy, but the fact is, he's a decent outfielder and has a pretty good arm. and base running? the guy's not fast, so what? he's a power hitter, why would he bust his *** up the first base line running out a grounder and injure himself again just to get thrown out anyway? or trying to stretch a single into a double? he's not jose freakin' reyes, he's manny ramirez. he gets more than his share of criticism, but he's still an excellent hitter and gets more than his share of hr's rbi's and doubles. i don't think the red sox suffer for it.How can I listen to baseball broadcasts online/on the radio?
Manny is actually a lot better in the field than he gets credit for..If he doesnt think he has a chance at a fly ball he wont run real fast towards it but, if he thinks he has a shot, you will see him hustle after it..He has a very good throwing arm and has cut runners down at home plate quite a bit..With the running to first base, I think its pretty much the same thing..if he thinks he has a shot of a hit,he will hustle faster than if he knows it is a routine ground out..As we all know, in baseball you are supposed to run as fast to first as you can no matter what, but, Manny is guilty of not doing that...I love Manny and think he is a great asset to the Red Sox..Any idea what (if anything) a signed A-Rod ball from when he played in the Minors would be worth?
no 4 the 1st 1 and yes 4 the 2nd 1Ramirez is an excellent left fielder, especially at Fenway Park. He plays the wall well, and throws out his share of runners at the plate. He also does run out to first base when he hits the ball. Where are you coming from?? The moon??
