No asterisk.A) It hasn't been proven that Bonds used steroids (he probably did).
B) Steroids were not against the rules of baseball until a year or two ago.
C) Bonds isn't the only player to use performance-enhancing drugs. Drug use in baseball goes back to the 60's and 70s (if not earlier).

They didn't allow Mark McGwire in the hall of fame, then Bonds shouldn't be either. But like the person above said, some people will call out racism if Bonds is not allow in the hall of fame.Yes. Everyone knows he has used them. It's quite obvious. I don't think he should get such a great record that Aaron got cleanly.

Asterisks have no place in the record books. Period. Roger Maris' asterisk was a disgrace and correctly removed long ago.Bonds was on the juice in my opinion, but as of right now there are no hard facts to prove it. He hasnt failed a test (yet) and until he does, he is innocent until proven guilty (Sidenote, even though 'roids weren't against the rules until a few years ago, they've always been against US law, so they were banned).
I dont like the man, I dont support him in the chase. But I defend the record book saying that records are made to be broken, and Bond's is only keeping it warm for A-Rod and Andruw Jones (and later, Pujols) anyway.
His record will be tainted by the memories and doubts of every baseball fan (outside of SF) there is today. That is worse than any Asterisk.

Yes because he did not win the race because he cheatedno b/c when he supposedly used steroids they weren't banned. and if it hasn't been proved that he took steroids then he didn't. let the black man have the record. and like said b4 he was not the only one supposedly on steroids. let him keep the record. in time someone else will break it. will u say then that they were on steroids too?
