Do you think pitchers are overpaid?
Question:I've noticed in the past few years that the pitcher who steps up/does well in a couple of games in the playoffs are usually lucky and like get hot in the right time and are willing to work hard ONLY AT TIME IN THE SEASON
They get lucky to end up with a good team like that and for their average performances which are like glorified in the postseason, they get like a big time contract within the next few years worth a gazzillion dollars for 5-6 years while having an average season statistically and playing like crap the next few years
Example:
06: Jeff Weaver, Jeff Suppan
05: Freddy Garcia
03: CARL PAVANO (lol yankee fans i feel sorry for you)
A.J. Burnett
02: Jarrod Washburn
Answers:
Did anyone else like Ryan Doumit on the pirates...?
I strongly believe that ALL american pro athletes are over paid. Its a sad time to live in when the teachers of our children have to scrape to get by while some douche bag who throws an object fast makes millions.
Are the Nationals the worst team ever?
In today's market every ball player is over paid. No one is worth that kind of money no matter what they do for a living. And the umpire points to whom when he says "Play Ball!"?
It hard to have a game without a pitcher.
What is the greatest double-play combo in the history of baseball?
Whats Jeff Suppan done wrong? 5-2, 2.63 ERA.This always happens, always. Because its about being good at the right time, its about pressure, and MOST of all, its about teams with money being desperate for pitching.
That was the cash with Weaver, Pavano and Burnett.
Same thing happens with all players. But its more noticeable with pitching, because there is less decent pitching out there.
