Why does everyone accuse bonds of cheating?
Question:ok, i do too, but why hasnt this guy been caught?
they've been doing steriods testing...how come he hasnt been one of the few names that popped up.
i dont get it, because 741 homers to today, this guy has not been proven hes cheated...

You've got two questions there, so I'll do both.Everyone accuses him of cheating b/c he went from a skinny, speedy little guy who hit less than 30 HR a year to a slow, degenerate, big headed, muscle bound old man who somehow averaged 40 HR a year in san fran after he was out of his prime as a hitter. When we know steroids are in the game, it's hard not to accuse someone who goes under such a drastic change of juicing, especially considering he admitted in that grand jury testimony that he used it. I don't buy for one second either that he didn't know what it was. What world class athlete making millions puts a random pill in his body from a random teammates locker? Gimme a break.
The reason he hasn't been caught (his name has popped up though, in case you don't ever watch sportscenter and have never heard of Conte, Canseco, and Balco) is complex. First, we don't know he hasn't. Your name isn't released just b/c you test positive. I forget how many times it has to happen, but I know it isn't released w/ one positive test. They also don't test everyone every game, rather it is random, so statistically he has less of a chance of being tested in the first place. Another reason is that the things he has admitted to using are hard to test for if not impossible, and we know MLB doesn't test for HGH and other (possibly as of yet unkown) enhancers, so even if he were tested, it's possible he isn't on what is being tested, but on something else entirely.
The more diabolical reason is the MLB doesn't WANT to catch Barry, so they WON'T catch Barry. As long as Barry is never caught and publicized to have been caught, as angry as fans are, Barry eventually retires and the media swirl dies down. There's that black mark, but Bud the chicken never has to get tough and admit that cheating is what popularized the sport under his reign again. He already has the strike under him, and the steroids scandal, so he has no intention of making it worse by having Barry officially get in trouble. He'll avoid the situation like the plague, all the while pretending to get tough on crime. As long as the people who are supposed to catch and punish juicers don't want to catch and punish this juicer, how can we expect it to ever happen?

im a giants fan, but im in biased or ignorant. true, bonds hasnt been caught yet so he is considered innocent, but i and pretty much everyone else knows that he cheated before. he did admit to putting on this cream which he didnt know contained some illegal stuff or something like that. but bonds is still a great player and its not like steroids helps with hand eye coordination or timing.What do you think about ricky henderson making a come back?
I find it more annoying that people decided to suddenly care now. I grew up in the 80s and 90s. We had the bash brothers in Oakland(McGwire/Canseco), amongst others, hitting all kinds of homers. Most people I knew discussed how lots of baseball players were prolly on steroids etc. to get all that power. We grew up assuming most of 'em did it. This continued throughout the 90s with various players.Now the same people are shocked that stories come out about athletes doing steroids and we blame Barry Bonds for all of the problems. Those who thought Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa breaking Maris' record was such a great thing may be mad at themselves for ignoring the fact that they prolly used steroids too. Then they watched the same record go down again courtesy of another possible enhancement user. I guess it was ok when these guys made the home run derby exciting but not break precious records. So they turn loose their built up hatred all on the one 'main' player left, Bonds. And a lil bit on Sosa now that he's back, but he's not about to break the big record.

Maybe because he does?there are many reasons.The biggest problem is that they are saying that his head and his shoe size got bigger, which usually doesn't happen at his age.
However, I believe in the simple saying "Innocent until proven guilty!"

There is significant proof he cheated - read the book "Game of Shadows". There isn't, however, a positive drug test. This is because (1) he started before the testing program was put into place, and (2) the doping regimen used by Bonds was specifically designed to hide evidence of use.The tests used by MLB (and other sports) are flawed - they don't cover many substances used, and even those they do cover aren't discovered directly but rather through their effects on the body - for instance, elevated levels of certain substances naturally found in the body, like testosterone or adrenaline. Bonds used (and may still use) some substances, like HGH, for which there is no reliable test. He also used other drugs that, while they had no performance enhancing effects of their own, serves to mask the effects of performance-enhancing drugs he was also using so that the tests would show normal results.
Basically, it comes down to Bonds having smart people handling his doping for him - people who knew how the tests worked and ways around them.

1. He hasn't been caught just as Rafeal Palmiero wasn't caught until AFTER he broke the 3000 hit mark.. As much of a fan of the sport and the MLB, i hate to say it but they are just covering it up so they can get the publicity of having these historic feats accomplished.
2. I know players gain weight during their careers, but look at Bonds in the early 90s, and look at him now... He went from about 180 to 230... Same goes for McGuire and Canseco... Canseco came clean and Big Mack did all but admit he used them...
3. BALCO, need i say more?
4. Lack of support by other players, including teammates... You can't tell me just because hes a racist and has very little respect for other people would make most of the league's players not want to see him get this home run title... They know something isn't right, it doesn't take a genius to see it...
There's your evidence... form your own opinion, but I'm going with the steroid evidence as that is just too strong...
