Why is Clemens now being considered #4 starting pitcher for Yanks? What am I missing?

\Plus all those dudes on the DL, I realize we're not counting them.

Is Igawa not considered one of the SPs?

Plus Rasner is supposed to start a game this week along with DeMarco up from the minors. And Pavano is still on the 15-day DL, his surgery hasn't been confirmed.

So how is Clemens #4? (Besides the fact that he's not even on the roster yet anyway).

I don't think any real Yankee fan wanted to see Clemens back. He retired the first time from us, and all was well. As bad as our pitching problem looks, it's really starting to get back on track. Pettite and Moose pitched great games this week. Wang continues to show Cy Young capability. Hughes had a rough start and came back and almost pitched a no hitter.

We really need to get our young guys pitching, win or lose, because one year doesn't make a franchise. At the same rate, if they're smart... every young pitcher on that team will be doing whatever they can to get Roger to share some wisdom with them. Carry his bags, shine his shoesm oil his mitt, whatever. So honestly... it may end up being a good move.
