He is good but he ain't no Alfonso Soriano, he might be the next Roberto Alomar... in the sense of hitting but his defense might need a bit more adjusting that good as he was first claimed to be.

I think he is an above average hitter being protected by the best offense in the league. I would think he has a long career ahead of him

He is a very good( not great) Second Baseman. He hits well enough but will never put up the same numbers as Soriano, However, he is a great glove-man and when combined with Derek Jeter provides great defense up the middle.

He's probably the best pure-hitting second baseman in the league, very clean in the field. Hard working - he spent all winter working on his fielding with Yankees infield coach Larry Bowa. Scouts say he's a potential 30-HR guy, but his real skill is hitting the ball where its pitched. He's a lot like a young Jeter, or maybe even Nomar. He's drawn comparisons to HOF'er Rod Carew. When all's said and done, he's likely a multiple year all-star.

Need Urgent Baseball HELP!?

At any other position on any other team he'd be an average player at best. He hits for high average, with little power and an ok glove. Since he play a position thin on talent it makes him look better and when you add to that the exposure of New York, it makes him look like a star. I agree that Robbie Alomar is a good comparison, but Cano's glove isn't nearly as good as he was in his prime.
