It makes me sad to think its just there going to waste.
Too many great things happened in that place just for it to sit there...

I like the idea of using it for a movie. I wish they'd make it a museum or something, but that would take WAY too much money. Last I heard (about a year or so ago) they were talking about tearing it down... get this... but leaving up one wall. WTF?!? One wall?!? What's the point?I miss her. They need to tear it down. Use the space for something usefull. If they want to use it for kids games they could use the space and build 10 fields, but to leave it standing will not benefit the city or the neighborhood one bit.I would hate to see it become another Hudsons where it takes the city over 20 years to do what should have been done right away.
It will fall down. Detroit cant afford to tear it down. Its been empty since they made that movie 61 and as a party location for the superbowl. They keep hoping someone will buy it and make it into offices or apartments but its in a pretty rough area so not many people want to live and work there.
Tear it down and make it a park or something that people could use.

It is literally a crime that KilPatrick has allowed to sit and rot for as long as he has.
Personally, I would tear it down. Keep the filed intact, and make a playground for thr neighborhood kids.
