There are a lot of players with weak arms, its impossible to determine who has the worst. And don't worry about Damon. The yankees havent had an arm in center for years. Compared to Bernie Williams, Damon has an arm like Ichiro or Vlad.Also, sometimes its not about how hard your throws are so much as how quickly you can get the throws off. (i.e. Matsui)

Frank Thomas. When he played 1st base he couldn't throw to 2nd. This isn't an exageration he really couldn't. The White Sox treid to teach him how to throw and he never got it.damon is probably but as of right now its luis gonzales.
he just got back from surgery on his shoulder over the offseason(tommy john surgery i believe). even though his arm will actually be stronger then its been before, he never had a cannon and now with his arm still adjusting as of right now he has the weakest arm this year

That's easy David Ortiz couldn't throw the ball to the firstbase coach on the other team.I would think most DHs have nothing arms...a guy like Hafner, whom we've never actually seen play a position, probably doesnt have a great arm, but I think Eckstein is the weakest day to day player out there...even Damon could put more on a throw from shortstop.

Jamie Moyer has a pretty weak arm for a pitcher. I think Wakefield can throw harder than him even.I'm a Yankee fan and I really like Johnny Damon as our leadoff hitter but he does have THE WORST ARM IN BASEBALL!!! He can't reach the infield. Jeter has to run halfway to get the cutoff. But he can get on base and steal a base for you. I like his spirit.

As far as weakest arm - pitching wise it is Jamie Moyer. He averages in the low to mid 70's... with his fastball. In his prime (about 100 years ago) he was only throwing mid 80's. The reason he's still around is he has exceptional control / placement. He has rediculous breaking off-speed stuff, and he's a very intelligent pitcher meaning he know's how to keep even the best hitters off balance and second guessing. As far as a fielder is concerned Johnny Damon does have an extremely weak arm, especially to be playing center field. His blinding speed used to more than make up for his pop-gun arm but he's on the down-side of his career and its starting to show. Believe it or not though, Carlos Lee has a pathetic arm! Last year for the Rangers I watched him bounce it from left field to Michael Young (short-stop) on a regular basis and on top of that, the best thing he does defensively is kill the grass he's standing on.More Questions & Answers...
