To be completely honest with you its not the bat that makes the ball go father, its the batter. There are multiple ways in finding a bat that works for you. First, thing is you want to find a bat with the correct size. I swing a 33 inch 30 ounce bat. I am 16 5'10 and 150 lbs. For most kids that would be to big of a bat, but for me it feels and swings comfortably. You are most likely are going to want to use a 32 inch and 29 ounce bat. You should swing both to see what you most comfortable with. Next, you are going to want to find a bat. Good brands include Easton, Rawlings, and Louisville Slugger. I personally use an Easton Stealth, but it all depends on what feels the most comfortable. Also, make sure that the grip is good. If you don't wear batting gloves the grip can sometimes cause blisters in the hand.
