Is Roger Clemens just a Band-Aid for the Yankee pitching staff or could he be their seasons' savior?

Question:In my opinion, I don't think that he really cares which team he is with, as long as he makes a lot of MONEY in the deal. And when he does FINALLY retire, he's gonna be a pain in the butt, just like Archie Manning in the NFL, only wanting the best for his precious little child or children. What kind of sportsmanship example is that to teach your child or children?

Is King Felix starting 5/4 or 5/5?? I need to know because I want to go to the game to watch him.?

Well it's quite obvious that THEY think he's their savior. Me personally, I believe he'll be a bust. Can anybody live up to the hype that the yanks have stirred up? 4.5 mil a month, for a pticher in his mid forties? Not to mention the luxury taxes they'll be forking out. Don't get me wrong, the rocket is one of the best pitchers that ever stepped on the bump, BUT, to expect him to soley take the yanks out of that sellar they put themselves in is not gonna happen.

Who was on deck when Bobby Thompson hit his 'shot heard round the world' ?

He is both. He is a band-aid, first and foremost. The Yankees have had three of their five original starting pitchers on the D.L., and when Phil Hughes was injured, I think it forced their hand and made them go after Clemens harder.

I think they realize that at almost 45 years of age, Clemens is just a 6-inning pitcher now. However his six innings will be better than what Igawa, or Pavano (the worst bust of all time!) would have given them.

Yeah, I do think it's about the money with him, but I'm sure the Yankees will look past that and hope he can help save their staff.

Easports mvp baseball?

he might help......

How do I calculate fielding percentage?

He'll make the rotation better, but he can only pitch once every 5 days.

With Mussina, Pettite and Wong (or Wang?) are all healthy and pitching then they'll have a strong rotation. Problem is going to be the bullpen. The once "lights out" Rivera looks pretty sub par so far.

he's allowed 10 runs already this season and it wasn't but 2 or 3 years ago he allowed 12 all season. But they'll still make the playoffs. It's just a matter of whether or not he bullpen will be burned out by then.
