My fellow baseball fans. Do you think that schilling's sox contained real blood? or paint?

Question:i think i was paint. when you get stitches they put a bandage over it. that alone wouldn't allow blood to seep through to a sox.

but let me guess schilling (much like your buddy lance dopestrong)...this is all made up by the media and people who don't like you.

well i like you but i don't believe you.

Who was the first black to manage a championshop?

WOW!! Once again the BLOW SOX FANS are saying it was bitter yankee fans spreading these rumors,When it was Gary Thorne and Doug Mirabelli who was playing for the Red sox at the time that made this announcement today,So it doesn't matter that they beat us in the ALC,,THEY are the ones that are still bitter,And will always blame the BIG BAD yankees for everything that goes wrong for their crappy team!!

Who thinks torre will get fired if the yankees get swept by texas?

I think it was real blood. I doubt he would actually bother painting it because I don't see what it would get him. Plus he had stitches there and he looked to be in pain. Why would someone fake that.

RoGER CLEMENS!?

The real question is why this is even an issue. It really doesn't matter when all is said and done. All that matters is that he won the game.

How do I get girls on my softball team to like me?

I guess you are smarter than the doctor that performed the procedure.....

"Obviously, we put sutures in Curt Schilling's ankle right before he went out to pitch in a professional-level baseball game," Morgan said in a statement e-mailed to The Associated Press. "Sutures will pull with movement, and we completely expected a certain amount of blood to ooze from the wound. Socks are like sponges, and even a small amount of blood can soak a sock."

Testing all my baseball fans (missed you guys). First person that gets the answer wins 10 points. What is TPA?

Why would it be anything other than blood? The only people who think it's not either dislike Curt Schilling or the Red Sox.

It makes no sense that he'd put paint or something else on the sock. First of all they didn't know if the procedure would even allow him to pitch and especially successfully. It was a risk that ultimately paid off, but at the time they weren't sure it would work.

Everyone on the inside says it was blood, including the doctors. There is no proof otherwise. But for some reason I expected to believe that they are getting ready for a big playoff game against their hated rivals and while he was going through the pain of the procedure, he decided to put some paint on his sock so in case he got to pitch it'd look more dramatic. Oh and lucky them, there just happen to be some blood red paint right there available.

Plus if they really want to know they can just test it since the sock is the Hall of Fame. That sounds rather simple.

But in the end it doesn't really matter because Schilling still pitched a great game on a bum ankle. Blood or no blood that can't be taken away from him and it doesn't diminish the feat he accomplished.

What position player would be the best pitcher?

BUT- if you have surgery- with a gauze pad over the incision- it's not like you normally go around doing physical exercise - do you? Of course it is going to bleed allot more if you are moving around because it is not going to get a chance to clot.

It is hardly the first time that someone has accused him of faking the blood- there has been that doubt out there since that night- but if you watched the game- please tell me when he was able to do the touch ups (as the stain got bigger each inning)

Since the doubt is out there- it will always be out there- they may as well resolve it- it would be pretty easy for them to test if it is actually blood or not

In the end though there are two causes for the suspicion 1) Bitter yankee fans and 2) Schillings reputation of being a big-mouth, melodramitic blowhard- neither of which changes the fact that he shut the Yankees down that game
