Its probably a TV situation.to introduce the game, matchups, etc...that takes a couple mintues.You cant just start broadcating a game at the top of the hour without an intro to the game. Hence, a 7:05 1:05 starts

They don't. Most Diamondbacks home games start 40 minutes after the hour. I think the main reason they start a few minutes after the hour or half hour is so the TV station can get a little pregame in.
