Is baseball fun? I might want to start playing it.?
NL: Mets (they get no respect)AL: Devil Rays
The Devil Rays seem to play the spoiler every season. They can't seem to keep their poop in a pile, but they have the Red Sox and Yankees number.
The Indians has some awesome players, they are sort of like the Celtics. Had this great team, they hit a bump in the road when they cleaned house in ~1998/1999.
I never under estimate the Indians.
For my money:
The Tampa Bay Devil Rays; they've always played well against the Yanks, they've built the franchise from the bottom up with a good farm system and responsible drafting and trading. They remind me of the Marlins when they were champs. Maybe not this year but they're getting better every season. But, boy, do I hate the AL.
I heard some people say Ortiz is only goo cause Manny hits behind him?
Brewers, all the way around.Does anyone know what day Roger Clemens is pitching for Class A-Tampa?
Any team that spends the type of money that the Dodgers do can't ever be classed as underrated. The Brewers - they're on the cusp of really good things, and the don't get the attention that's due to a team of that quaility and promise.
AL - 1st place Cleveland Indians
NL - 1st place Milwaukee Brewers
A.L. Tigers
N.L. Marlins
Who will suck this season in baseball?
In the A.L. I'd have to say the Indians without a doubt. They are 6-1 in their series played this year...1st in the Central. 6-2 in the Central. And the scary part is they are not playing good yet. Sizemore is hitting like crap so far---and we all know that will change. The bottom half of their lineup is not hot yet--and they will be. Cliff Lee is returning to their rotation for the 1st time this year...and we know he's been good for 15-18 wins a season. Most people had them finishing 4th in the Central--I believe they will stay in the mix all year long and begin playing much better when the weather warms up. The pen (minus the NYY series-and that happens to all teams a few times a year) in doing outsatnding--they added some quality arms. The starting pitching is above average. Hafner may be in the top 4 hitters in MLB...by far the best DH/1st baseman in the A.L.In the N.L. I'd say the Brewers...I like the direction. Young ,hungry players---not the Detroit firepower of last year--but add a few pieces in the next year or two and these guys are in October...
