Wouldn't you guys like to see baseball played in the rain?
Question:or even a lite snow storm they could just use a red ball
Answers:
Why do I suck so bad at baseball?
This is an interesting question.I suspect that the primary reason they don't play baseball in hard rain is because of the dangers inherent in throwing a slippery baseball 90+ mph. It's just too dangerous...even with helmets, the likelihood of serious injury is greater in a downpour.
That said, it's a good question. If they could figure out a way to keep the baseball dry until the pitcher threw it, I'd be all for playing ball in the rain.
How for is it from home plate and the pitcers mound?
As much as i'd love to see players battle the extremes during the season the fact remains that the quality of the game would be dragged down. Pitchers would lose a grip on the ball and players would gain an upperhand identifying the red ball. Also this leaves players with a chance of getting injured such as twisting an ankle in the mud. Although i hate postponing games like in Cleveland I'd rather see stars healthy for the season.More Questions & Answers...
