There's not a lot they can do at this point. They have nothing worth trading and there's little to nothing in regards to decent free agents.They are pretty much stuck with what they have.

well we cant really trade for better pitchers because our farm system sucks and we have only old guys. and we wont trade cain or zito or lincecum.the only way to do is to spend more money than teams are willing to pay. which will only happen next year, once bonds retires and we have an extra 16 million to spend.

honestly, they should dump benitez off at the deadline for whatever they can pick up. most likely scraps and picks, but thats good enough. bring lincecum up and have him throwing/convert him like boston did last year with papelbon. he is a stopper who throws gas with a wicked curve from a deceiving windup. he would be the perfect match for a closer, but he is more valuable as a starter later. though this would prolly be best and what fans would expect/want, what prolly is going to happen is that we'll keep using benitez and somewhere down the line wilson will come in as a short term fix, but neither of them are full stopper material, and by the end of july into august we will most likely be doing closer by committeeI think Giants fans will have to exercise a lot of patience this season with the bullpen. They didn't exactly break the bank on getting a quality bullpen during the offseason. I do expect the bullpen to pitch better from now on... They are relatively young except for Kline and Benitez.
The problem is another issue will come when the bullpen gets better. This team is way too old... Someone's going to get hurt and the Giants have so little depth.
I'm not going to sit here and sugar coat it for you. There's nothing they can to with those talentless wonders. They are stuck with them for the rest of the season.

first of all giants must let go of benitez, i mean shouldnt he request a trade? he gets booed everytime he comes out and scares the heck out of me even if we have a 4 run lead! I think we should find a way to trade him for a decent prospect and call up lincecum where he can dominate. I think our bullpen is fine, it's just we are young and inexperinced. We have j.sanchez, j.taschner, k.corriea, and b.hennessey. We also have b.wilson who can become a great closer. Our bullpen is some what set as of now, we just have to wait it out and get rid of benitez...Go Lincecum!
