Since you took Weaver, I'll go with Juan Pierre.The Dodgers paid an underachieving leadoff hitter $9m per season, and he's done exactly the same thing he always does, which is to perform badly at the plate. His OBP at this point is under .300, which is atrocious for a number-eight hitter, never mind your leadoff guy. He's quick on the bases, but that doesn't do much good when you can't get on, and he has no power of which to speak.
I don't know who deserves more blame - the front office for throwing $45m at a guy who has always been a below-average hitter, or Grady Little for keeping him in the leadoff spot.
Adam Laroche...he's struggling at first for the Pirates. I'm not sure if he is hitting over .200.

Soriano was huge disappointment for the Cubs in April, he's starting to come around now, though. I think Weaver is the #1 worst offseason signing to this point. He's making the $11M a year the Royals paid for Gil Meche look really good right now.Carl Pavano!

Definetly Jeff Weaver. Over here in england, we have a baseball program which airs every monday and thursday morning (i'm talking 1am) and is the only baseball anyone in britain can get. Anyways, there's this thing on it called the Weaver watch, and for the past couple years, the show has always shown their stats for every game they've played, including Jered. In return the shows producer travels over to the states and gets to interview the two. They recently talked to him about the amount he was getting and the performances he was giving and he was really skimming the questions, the guy was near meltdown. He said he'd just have to knuckle down and find his form again, he kept on refering back to last years World Series and said that he knows he can pitch well, he just has to go out there and do it.When will the MLB finally get a salary cap?

Weaver is the obvious answer but I'll say Juan Pierre. Weaver has at least the potential to go back to old form (which was never all that great). Pierre should be nothing but a pinch runner. He can barely throw the ball from center to second. He has been a career lead-off man but his career OBP is under .350 and SLG at .375. I doubt you'll be able to find any other long-term lead-off hitter with such awful batting stats. He's only cracked 100+ runs three times. This is terrible for a speedy leadoff hitter who gets 700+ plate appearances per year.More Questions & Answers...
