RBI = Run batted in
A run is credited when a player crosses the plate, an RBI is credited to the player that hit the ball that allowed someone to cross the plate. A home run counts as both a run and an RBI. If there are 2 runners on base when a HR is hit, the hitter gets 3 RBI 1 Run, and each of the runners gets a Run.

Is Grady Sizemore the best outfielder in baseball?

The two runs mean the player himself crossed the plate twice, thus scoring two runs.

The five RBI's (runs batted in) means that 5 runners crossed the plate directly because of something he did to score them (base hit, home run, sac. fly, etc.) This includes the batter himself (ie. if he hits a 2 run home run, he gets 1 run and 2 RBI)

What are the 2 situations in which you can get a save?

Runs is when the player scores a run, by going around the bases to home plate.
RBIS are runs batted in, meaning the player drived in somebody else to score the run.
When the player hits a homerun, its a run and an rbi, since he drove himself in and scored a run.

Simply put a run is scored when a play crosses home plate, a RBI is when the player at the plate's hit is responcible for bringing a player across the home plate though a hit or a bases loaded walk

What is all behind the dugout at a major league ballpark?

A RBI (Runs Bated In) is how many one player got in, a run scored is when a player makes it to all bases ending with home base, you score when they don't tag you.

How hard should a high school pitcher throw?

RBI stands for Run Batted In meaning that if you get a hit with a runner on base and that runner comes home and scores that would be an RBI because that hit allowed a run to score

using the example above the guy who was on base and came into score would be the Run Scored meaning he would get 1 Run.

P.S. a home run would give the batter an RBI and a Run Scored because the hit he had scored a run (an RBI) and since he would score from a home run he gets 1 run as well

RBI means runs batted in. That means the player has hit a ball and scored someone. A run means that the player himself has scored.

The difference is an RBI is when you hit the ball and someone scores because of your hit. a run scored is when you score.

When Barry Bonds breaks Hank Aaron's homerun record will Major League Baseball acknowledge it?

A RBI is when you hit a run in. An example is if there is a guy on 3rd and the guy at the plate makes him score while hitting he gets an RBI(run batted in). A run is when you score(cross the plate yourself). A homerun gets you a RBI and run but if there is another guy on base you get more RBIs.
