Question:Has anyone watched this guy lately
The first game vs royals he had like 4 hit in 1 inning and i watched last night and he almost blew the redsox the game.
Im glad papelbon went back to closer because pinerio and taveraz were going to be the closers
I think pinerio will mess the redsox up and they need to option him down to triple a and bring manny delcarmen back up because he is half way decent

I'm from Tacoma (south of Seattle) and am a big Mariner fan, where Pineiro used to play. We all had our fill of this guy, and are glad he is not on the team anymore. He doesn't seem to have the mental toughness required for a closer. He was pretty good once, but I doubt he is anymore, or Seattle would still have him.What center fielder earned a total salary of $704,769 in 13 years with the Yankees?
Pinerio was a re-claimation project to begin with, not much was expected other than hopefully regaining his form to be a decent pitcher. He hasn't done that. Other than the role of mop up man, I cant see where he is useful in any role at this point.I'm guessing he will be in the rotation real soon though (for pawtucket)
He is young, has good stuff for a 4th. starter and can shine in Pitsburgh or Kansas City... In Boston? I hope he stays there and face the Yankees soon.
