With the inception of fantasy...?

Question:do you find your love wavering? I was born and raised in Queens, so I always loved the Mets, until I went to see the Yankees play the Red Sox, so I found it hard to choose. I wanted to be a part of that rivalry, but regardless-I just love baseball, period. Now and moreso than ever, after joining fantasy leagues, you are forced to pick from other teams. And why not? I only picked Wright, Cano and Mo as far as NY players are concerned. I got a lot of Twins, Padres and Orioles on my teams. I threw in some Tigers and Angels as well. So, do you feel like more of a fan for PLAYERS, or do you remain loyal to your home no matter what?

Will the red sox win the al east?

I have noticed myself following individual players much more than I have in the past. I will always have my favorite teams, but I do not live and die with them as I had previously. I attribute this more to free agency and the rampant movement of players from team to team. In the past, rosters stayed fairly constant except for a few trades and rookies each year. I was very easy to follow the same team from year to year, but now it is much more of a chore just to know which players are on the team. It's much easier just to follw your favorite players from team to team and cheer for them at each stop throughout their career. I really don't think fantasy baseball has as much of an effect as rapid player movement due to free agency. It is interesting, though, that both have blossomed at the same time.

When are the Chicago White Sox going to start hitting the ball?

My love for my own team will always supercede any fleeting fantasy team loyalties. If I have to root against my fantasy team in favor of the Reds, then so be it.

Who hit the most home runs in the major leagues?

First and foremost is your home team. I am from Michigan so I finally have something to cheer about after so many years of brown-bagging. It is nice to have fantasy players to root for when it is hopeless rooting for your team. There is nothing wrong with cheering for fantasy players as long as you aren't cheering against your team.

Is it right for the royals, marlins, devil rays, and the pirates to steal money?

I've always been solely a player fan. I happen to like a lot more players from the local team, but that is just because they are the ones I see most often. My favorite player from 1987-92 was not from my local team. Since then, I think it has been. Before that time I didn't have a tv so I just liked whoever's cards were good.
I like fantasy baseball, it helps me to learn about a wider variety of players and gives me a reason to pay attention to more games than just the home team. I think it has helped my love of the game.

Synergy softball bat?

The most interesting instance of this is when I have one of my SPs going against my favorite team. That is when I hope for my team to win 1-0.

However, I must say that there is nothing wrong with liking the Twins when you have a lot of them on your teams, since they're only the best sports team in existence
