Which Red Sox starter will garner the most wins in '07?
I do admit that here in MInnesota, we are being known as the Little Piranhas more than the Minnesota Twins. But, I don't think there will be a name change... can they even do that?
We name the Twins the 'MInnesota Twins' because of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) here in Minnesota. If we change the name, then if the Twins were to move for whatever reason, it would make sense.
But keeping it the 'Twins' it only fits Minnesota for a Minnesota reason. No where else will the Twins fit.
"I just bought a Piranha jersey today! Woot!"
Never, they are the TWINS forever... The Piranhas was a nickname for a group of players who "ate" up the Whiney (White) Sux. Thanks Ozzie!
Will the Baltimore Orioles finish over .500 this season?
There are no rules against it, per se. Teams have changed names plenty of times (see: Angels can't decide what city they're in). But I'm sure any name change would still have to go through official channels (Bud Selig). In any case, Piranhas is best left as an unofficial nickname, in my opinion. I think the name "Twins" is one of the best team names in sports (I'm not a fan, either, I just think it's a very good name).
Was there in the past a pitcher named Greg Slupski who played for the San Francisco Giants?
I also know that Tampa is planning (or may already have) to change their name from Devil Rays to Rays. However, the Twins need to stay the Twins as they win their 3rd world championship next season(when Liriano is back)
