How old was boy hit by speaker in st pete?

I have no idea what you mean by 81 year old curse... but if you mean great winning seasons, then yes.

To all my baseball fans. here's an interesting question for you?

No! the Yankees fell last year against Detroit for the errors that the Yankees made but A-Rod is one of the best player in the league the Yankees without A-Rod will go from 100 to 80 A-Rod is super important for the team he needs to play a little better but the Yankees need to help too, this is what I think about A-Rod.

When did the 'modern era' of baseball begin?

I can almost guarantee that sometime in the next 81 years, the Yankees will win the World Series yet again. And this comes from a Tiger fan. What might stop them? End of the world. Alien invasion. Certainly not the Sox.

What baseball game had the most runs?

Not as long as George has deep pockets. It would be great to see them fall apart, but unfortunately it won't happen.

Question regarding Roger Clemens?

Since they quit winning rings before they got ARod, the answer is plainly no, but that doesn't mean they aren't 'cursed.'

Their curse is Steinbrenner. Look at their history with him. He bought a solid core that was short a few pieces and started running it like a fantasy team. With a few changes they won their first series in almost 15 years, but George didn't stop. He kept making changes and destroyed the 'team' which ran them into the ground through most of the 80's and into the 90's. 15 years ago commissioner Fay Vincent barred Steinbrenner from day to day operations-personnel decisions-which allowed Gene Michael to put together another solid core. After George got Vincent fired he axed Michael (who was too popular with the players) and again ran it like a fantasy team--and the first few changes led to 4 rings in 5 years. Again, Steinbrenner didn't stop and again the Yankees aren't a 'team.' Watch one of their games sometime--whenever they show the two dugouts you'll see whoever they play has a bunch of guys screwing around, and the Yankees dugout is filled with guys that aren't talking to each other. They don't know and don't like each other (not the same as dislike, but it's still a big difference). Over 162 games, with all the travel and the irregular daily schedule you have to like the people you're with to come out on top and with the Yankees roster roulette that can't happen. They'll continue to win games and have one of the best records each year--they have too much talent not to--but they won't win a series until George Steinbrenner is no longer in control of the team. The season is too long and post season games too big to go all the way when the players can't/don't back each other up.

Hairless Yankees?

No, the Yankees will win another championship this year... largely because A-Rod's going to bat .330 with about 60 homers and 140 RBIs and win another AL MVP.

Look at his first week! He's hitting .390 with 4 homers and 11 RBIs... in a WEEK.

Good way to get the word out?

Curse? Curse? are you on drugs? What Arod did this past week ,would normally take another player 1 month to accomplish! Learn something about baseball dude!!

Has this ever happened...?

no, but the Yankees won't win it all until the 2009 season at least. They're not winning it this year with that "pitching" and next year is the Twins year to take it all once Liriano returns
