Did it feel good to you to hear that Hank Aaron said he wouldn't be around if Bonds breaks the homerun record?

Question:Hank Aaron was quoted in the Atlanta Constitution Journal saying he would not be at the ball park if/when Barry Bonds breaks the homerun record. When Bonds was asked about this, it seemd like Bonds' feelings were slightly hurt even though he said it didn't bother him. Do you think that Bonds is kind of getting what he deserves for treating others badly?

Answers:

Whats the Red Sox's Number for ticket information?

Barry said that if his Godfather, Willie Mays was the HR record holder and did not recognize or show up, he will be hurt.

Regarding Hammering Hank, Barry said that if Hank is vacationing overseas, that's cool with him! The stupid media strikes again and brainwashes unintelligent people into believing anything they say. Barry is an adult that acts more mature than the fans who are calling him names!

Sticks and stones!!!

Take that!!! The city of SF, the Giants and Barry do not care if jealous or hateful fans do not want to share in the moment of a record getting shattered! The baseball commissioner is also busy, which is an excuse for political reasons because if he recognizes the record, the powers that be will probably not let him keep his job.

We have Barry Bonds, the All Star Game and prestige of the game for a long time. We don't care who badmouths the Giants!

Carlos Delgado trade?

Yes, I HATE barry bonds hes a showoffy jerk

Why do major leauge catchers ask the umpire for a new ball when the pitch is thrown in the dirt?

Treating others badly? How did he treat others badly?

I never heard anything about this (yet), but basing on what your saying, Hank Aaron is the one hurting Bonds. Bonds once said that Hank Aaron was his all time hero, and being turned down just because he's chasing after one of the greatest man in baseball is just despicable.

Barry Bonds killed himself with HR's his whole career, and he deserves to break that record. I'm not taking anything away from Aarons, no doubt he is the best, but sometimes the best has gotta move on.

I don't care if Bonds used steroids for three weeks, he still hammered LOADS of HR's "BEFORE" he used them, and is still hammering HR's after.

A real baseball fan would know what Barry Bonds has done and knows that he deserves glory and to be a Hall Of Famer.

Sox or cubs?

yes, he is a cheater. I grew up watching Hank Aaron and was amazed at his home run hitting abilities. The guy was awesome. His best year he hit 47 homeruns.

I don't believe Bonds could hit 27 more homeruns in a year without steroids. For numerous years Bonds cheated. Even though he never tested positive for steroids we all know he, Sosa, McGwire and others from that period were juicing.

Good for you Hank. You earned your record.

Best bullpen in MLB?

It really doesnt mean much. What does Barry Bonds need? A hug? I don't think so. Let him hit 756, get a standing ovation. I guarantee he wont be boooed, and let him and all the fans soak it all in.

What player won the most batting crowns in consecutive years?

Barry Deserves to be a great player

Who thinks that it is bored without me around here?

What else is he going to say? He's not a poor sport regardless of Bonds's history with MLB.

With clemens back with the yankees, how do you think the development of phil hughes will be affected?

No. Hank just mad he's about to lose his historic record.

Do you think the Yankees are ring material?

I am glad because the true home run king will not see a fraud pass him.

I want to try pitching again in JV. what can i do to be more sccurate and a little faster?

Good for Hank. * Barry "cocky asshole" Bonds

Can you take a blanket to a major or triple AAA Bassball game?

Aaron isnt being jealsou. I cant bear to see a bonafide home run hitter lose his coveted title to a guy who took steroids. Granted, there were other surly sluggers in the past, but at least they won their records fairly. Bonds is mean to almost everyone.

Who is the most likely player to become part of the 50/50 club in this generation??

Hank Aaron has much more important things to do than to watch a stupid jerk cheat his way over his record. I'm glad for Aaron (who'll always be the king of home runs until somebody legitimately breaks his record) and happy that Bonds got slapped in the face.

What section of Shea stadium is closes to the visitors dugout?

Hank Aaron is a known traditionalist who has been very disappointed with the direction the baseball players have been going in recent times.

The issue of performance enhancing drugs is a big thorn in many who played baseball before the whole issue of drugs was available to the ballplayers.

Hank Aaron was and is a credit to baseball and I will always respect his opinion...

Hank Aaron is also totally against Pete Rose being considered for the Baseball Hall of Fame and has voiced his opinion on numerous occasions.

I LOVEEEEEE<3 THE BREWERS!!! any brew crew fans out there?

It sounds to me as if Hank's answer has nothing to do with Barry. Hank is, and has always been, a class act. The fact of how poorly he was treated by the media and public during his playing days indicate that he does not want to be in the public eye. I don't blame him.

What does it mean when a player is put on the bereavement list?

I'm glad Hank Aaron won't acknowledge the record and I won't be surprised if Bonds gets hurt again and doesn't wind up breaking it.

I don't know if he's getting what he deserves or not. To a small extent, I feel sorry for him and the other juicers as well. The irony is that Bonds may have been in a position to break the all time record if he had NOT taken steroids. Mark McGwire too, probably would have hit 560 HRs if he had NOT taken steroids. In both cases, while the juice gave them the strength for season-high HR records, it caused them enough injuries so that they missed entire seasons. Had they not juiced and played more games, their career HR totals would probably be near what they are now. In McGwire's case, he may have hit 700 himself.

Who's the home run king?

Honestly, I dont think Aaron showing up has much to do with Bonds. Im sure the steriod thing is some factor in his decison but Aaron is a private man. He never said much during his career and lives a pretty private life now. Him not showing up is just how he is; private
