How do Baseball Jersey's run in size?

Question:For example, If my suit jacket is 48, should I get a size 48 jersey or should I get a little bigger 50?

I would defnitely get one size bigger, which would be a size 50. I wear a size 54 in other clothes, but wear my authentic jerseys size 56. Replica jerseys will be your regular size because the fabric is lighter and stretches more.
