The Giants need to get younger, and they need to get rid of Barry Bonds.Bonds is such a drag on the psyche of these players it's not funny. He's always been a clubhouse cancer, but now with the steroid allegations constantly swirling around the clubhouse and everything else that's going on, free agents just don't want to play in San Francisco any more.
You guys have a lot of promising guys on your pitching staff, starting with Matt Cain, but also Brad Hennessey, Noah Lowry, Jonathan Sanchez and Kevin Correia. Zito's going to be fine, he's just out to a rough start.
This team is way too old though. Rich Aurilia? Ray Durham?Ryan Klesko? Omar Visquel? These guys are Jurassic!
It's time to get some young blood out on the field, cut ties with some of these disappointing veterans and develop some position players for the future.
They need to unload Barry Bonds so the circus will leave town and they can get back to baseball.

They need to get younger plain and simple...Altough I am a Giants fan, I believe it is possible for them to lose 100 games. Brian Sabien only cares about getting more money which is the reason they overpayed for Bonds. They should trade all their players and start rebuilding or somehow start spending as much money as the Yankees. The Giants should start building their team around Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain and maybe guys like Todd Lindon and Kevin Frandsen...Which is more shocking early on?
They need more good young players, they need Tim Linceum, Matt Cain, and Jonathan Sanchez to become very good this year. They need Brian Wilson to dominate in the bullpen. And they need a bunch of 34+ year olds to have career years, which is very unlikely.Do i just need one sliding pad or two?
Barry needs to stop bogarting the HGH - hook a brother up and let the whole team play. It's time for a makeover, recall Tim from the minors, turn over the bullpen. Face it, SF is the MLB boneyard - this is where every 40 year old player knows he can go and still make decent money. The Giants are set right now. They may end up with one of the worst records in baseball but they will bring in fans to see Barry Bonds. This is a set-up year. The money they make now can be used to get some good prospects for when Barry Bonds retires. They need to rebuild their whole team once he retires. Zito is not looking like he's the answer. They would have been better off staying with Schmidt. They need a deeper rotation and a deeper batting order.i am a SF giants fan and well we need alot. We have to unload on all our older players such as bonds,feliz,durham, and winn. If we let durham go we have a chance to develop a decent prospect in kevin frandsen and if we get rid of winn we can maybe even develop fred lewis. We have to trade for young batters and if we dont giants will be looking like this for a long time.. our youngest and most productive batter is...feliz? and he is about 30. I think we have to find a way to trade for younger hitters, i wouldnt mind a jonny gomes or a jorge cantu who has shown power and is only 25 who can play 2nd and 3rd. Our starting pitching is decent, we need russ to go back to his old stage and lowry to produce and of course zito to put up 126 million dollars worth of productivity. Our bullpen has been iffy but we have talent such as hennessy, corriea, wilson and j.sanchez. all we have to do for the the bullpen is to get rid of what sf giants fans call him "blow-netiez"
I'm a Dodger fan, and I'll give your team some advice. They need to do a much better job of recruiting young guys and develpoing them in their farm system. Oh, I don't know like the Dodgers. Unload the old talent, Barry Bonds was good, but why damage your team? Is being part of a tainted homerun record that important? Managment needs to set its priorities straight. It's the team first, not a player. SWWEEEEEEEEEP!

Well, the giants are lucky. They got Barry Zito, so they got pitching, barely because they also lost Jason Schmit. they got defence with there 2nd basemen, and they got offence, with Barry Bonds a.k.a. Reggie Stocker. the thing they dont have is releif pitching. they have starting pitching, but not releifing. is i were them i would go after roger clemens.Giants fans,no hitter into the 7th,matt cain looked good,?
First of all, they need to trade Zito. As you've seen by his first two great starts (note my sarcasm) he's not worth anywhere near what they're paying him.Second, half their team is above 35 with Feliz, Roberts, Durham, Aurilia, Barroid, etc.
They need good young talent besides Cain and they need to spend their money in the right places instead of wasting it on Zito and Barroid
