Crawford vs Ichiro?

Question:Two speedy but not all that powerful OFs. Just comparing them. Who's better?

Answers:

Is it just me, or is the run production in MLB waaaay down so far this season? What's the deal?

I'd have to say Carl Crawford. Only from the standpoint that he's much younger than Ichiro and will have a longer career in the Majors, which will give him more time to raise his stats. Carl Crawford is just as fast as Ichiro down the line, and he's not trying to cause any commotion by saying that he wants to become a pitcher instead of an outfielder. Ichiro just needs to stick to the outfield. If they ever allowed him to go through with such a ridiculous idea, there is no way he'd reach 3,000 hits as long as he's with the Mariners since they're in the American League. It doesn't matter if Ichiro has one of the highest overall career averages because he's only been a part of American baseball since 2001. Crawford hands down.

RED SOX vs. YANKEES?

i like ichiro his arm is crazy strong, hes the fastest when he bats, he likes like what 3 seconds to get to first base he beats out routine grounders

Total smoking ban inside PNC Park (Pittsburgh) this year. Is this a good idea?

Ichiro. His consistent average and routine shots at hitting .400 make him the far better of the two.

Has a Utility player ever won the batting title?

The reason why Roger really signes with the Yankees (even though he won't admit it) is because he wants to be

I think Ichiro is the better one, but Crawford is still developing, and I think he has more power than Ichiro.

Jose Reyes or Grady Sizemore?

offensively, i think Crawford edge out Ichiro with HR power. Crawford's power gets him more triples too. (I am not saying that Ichiro is bad, by any means.)

defensively, I give it to Ichiro. He has a cannon for an arm and he doesn't make mistakes in the OF.

Do you think the A's will let Haren, Blanton, and Harden slip away like Zito, Hudson, and Mulder?

Good question but Ichiro is the man in my eyes, he can get hotter than the month of July at any moment

Joe Dimaggio or Willie Mays which would you want on your team?

Ichiro is better. He stole 45 consecutive bases, has an amazing arm and has one of the best career batting averages. He's also about to get hot this season.

Texas Rangers?

Ichiro gets 200+ hits every year, and can slap down a little drag bunt. He is good to start off the game/ inning because he get on a lot and can steal. Due to age, if I was starting a team, I would choose Crawford.

Are There Any NBA Players Birthdays On July 12?

I would take Ichiro anyday. Crawford is faster and steals a bit more bases. But Ichiro steals almost as much around 40 bases or low 50's. He has a way better arm, hits for a really higher average and overall better fielder. He ends up with more hits at the end of the year too.

Who was the first major league catcher to hit 20 homers and steal 20 bases in one season, in 1999?

Ichiro...Crawford can hit, can steal...but Ichiro can hit ANYWHERE he wants, and steal...plus he's a great outfielder.
Crawfords great himself, but ichiro's one of the best that has come to the major leagues.

Ichiro is such a disciplined good batter and he's a gold glove player as well.

What's more fun, watching the Red Sox/Yankee beat eachother, or the AL Central Race?

carl crawford is an incredible player. he can hit and for power, he can field his position, he can run the bases and steal, but, there's a big difference between these two. age!! ichiro is in his 30's and crawford is in his early 20's. ichiro is starting to decline, but none the less i would take ichiro over any other player in the majors period. let me explain. first of all he can play any ... any position and play it well. he has a rocket for an arm and throws with accuracy. he can hit with power- if he wants- and can hit any pitch anywhere in any park. he can steal bases at will... he's been thrown out 2 times in the last 60 trys. also in japan he is a god... their babe ruth. when you combine his japaneese stats and his major league stats he is now and will remain one of the best players ever to play the game period. he ranks right up their with ty cobb, babe ruth, joe dimaggio, etc. he has some of the most impressive stats ever in the history of the game and any and i mean any team anywhere would be blessed to have him. plus that he's just a darned nice guy and not at all a primadona. ichiro is THE man don't ever question it and he will be in the hall of fame on the first ballot.
