This is what I do....just try a bunch of new stances in batting practices to see which one works for you the best. When I was younger in little league i mightve tried a million different stances before reallly hiting the ball good.
If what your lookin for is to swing the bat quicker, all you can do is just work on your arm stength. do a ton of dry swings with a weight on your bat, every night, and pretty soon the bat will feel like a wiffle ball bat.
I hope this helps, just keep your head up and work hard and before you know it you will be hitting the hell out of the ball.

Go to the batting cages or go buy a baseball T. I have heard that alot of the Major league players use them for practice.I had the same problem last year, you can go to the batting cages, and if you golf, stop for a while. Also try to keep your weight back and don't swing with an uppercut. You can also use the Hit-A-Way. It's a ball on a long cord that you put on a pole. This should help, but if not, look at books or look online.

Its not enough to just see the pitcher throw the ball toward you.
You must follow the ball with your eyes untill it actually hits the bat. You should be able to see the ball on the bat as you hit it for a fraction of a second. Many hitters take their eye off the ball at the last second while swinging the bat. This will often cause a strike or a mishit. You have to be able to swing a bat and keep your eyes focused like a laser on the ball. Remember that as the ball approaches you it will appear to be moving faster so your eyes have to scan very quickly at the last moment before impact. Try it, you will start hitting better right away.

The most common problem is the your not batting close enough to the plate. Make sure that your toes are touching the line closest to the plate. Then, when you are there, make sure that you can touch the opposite side of the plate with your bat. When the pitch comes in, don't give it an upercut swing. Make your swing as short and quick as possible. Keep your head in and watch the ball the whole way, watch it hit the bat.Who thinks the padres will have a good year!??!?!?!?!?
