Go Yankees! [insert evil laugh]In the MLB, who are the top five closers in NL and AL currently?
Yankees are going all the way..Will the Detroit Tigers win the American League Central this season?
no, they are going to cool downWhat professional baseball player had the most home runs in 1986?
Maybe not the best, but certainly enough to win the division!Does anyone know the players on the 1969 and 1986 NY Mets world series rosters?
Only time will tell, but keep your eye on the Brew Crew as for they aren't no slouches.probably not because most teams who do good in the beginning doesnt last like people say your bound to fall sometime.
Does anyone know what a complete unopened 1995 Upper Deck Collector's Choice set of cards go for?
Of course not!Is it true that alternate black jerseys are going to soon be phased out by MLB?
hopefully they will have the second best record. the cubs will have the best!!go cubs!
Who will win the 2007 world series?
Very possible. They play well. I watched a little of the game on May 19. They seem to have it all. Avoid injuries and they have a great motivation to keep the Yankees back 10 games. This certainly could be a year that they are standouts in the MLB.
I am going to a Red Sox game in May where is a good place to go before the game.?
The Sox are the most balanced team in baseball. They have the best starting pitching, bullpen, team ERA, team batting average and get more support from their 6-9 hitters than all other teams. Combine that with their ability to bunt, steal and hit triples..they proved they have both power and speed. If the Sox can stay healthy...they..will..go..all. ..way!If they stay healthy, their pitching is the strongest it's been in years, and should carry them. Amazingly, they've never had 100 wins in their history!
they can do that, but they need to doing strong in second half after All-Star break. Remember they had the heartbreaking last year after fell down in the second half after hold the first place of AL East for all of first half.
Only the second half can cost more dangerous for Red Sox to do that as can miss the the chance for division champions or become the wild card team.
How long do baseball players need to jump rope?
YES! considering that weak division. But don't get me wrong. I think Boston has a solid team. Just not the best "team".They do have the best ERA
They do have the best Batting Average
But...they don't have the best starting pitching or hitting.
I take Indians hitters who are just starting to heat up over Boston's bats.
Give me Carmona (5-1, 2.55 ERA) Byrd (4-1 3.49 ERA) and Sabathia (6-1 3.65 ERA) over Schilling,Wakefield,Matszuka,a... even Beckett.
I respect Beckett-I love his attitude. Fact is he gets torched by Cleveland--Sizemore,Hafner and Victor Martinez own that dude-when he was in Florida they did in interleague and last year they pounded him for 13 runs in Jacobs Field. As far as this Dice-K...I put our #4 against him anyday. Wakefield is tricky--he has had it this year so far...but when he doesn't--it's ugly for him. Schilling is solid-but by no means unbeatable. Boston's bullpen is superb especially Papelbon (nasty nasty filthy stuff)-and better then Cleveland's easily. But Cleveland's starters can log long innings. Indians have the better hitters as I said earlier--they are only now starting to heat up. Hafner,Garko,Sizemore,Martinez... Perlata have a combined 35 Homers and 127 RBI's in 40 games played-and Martinez and Garko both have less then 120 at bats. Take in mind that Cleveland has only lost 3 games at Jacobs Field -1 home loss in their 15-4 home record was in Milwaukee.
I don't dislike Boston...I think they are blue collar-down and dirty old school. I just think Cleveland is better in every aspect other then that bullpen. SEE you in the ALCS.
What's the most number of runs ever scored in extra innings of a major league baseball game?
If they keep up the pace they are setting now, there will be no better record in baseball. Injuries to their pitching staff are beginning to hurt them, though, so who knows. Ask again at the time of the All Star break.Chow!!
Do you think baseball would be better without the pirates, devil rays, royals, and the rockies?
Trust me it won't be another 86 years!GO SOX
